In need of 2 points towards the end of the 2nd half, Arizona State’s Herb Sendek drew up this BLOB play for his Sun Devils. Watching the play develop I was sure they would get the ball to 3 curling into the lane, but they decided to wait and use the flare for 2. The shot was off target but ASU secured the offensive rebound to tie the game with two free-throws. See More

This was a half court set Michigan State ran in the Big Ten Conference Championship game. The first option was for Travis Trice coming off a down screen. Michigan State will then set a back screen for their point guard, looking for a lob at the rim. The ball will then be passed into the post (Adreian Payne). Michigan State will then set a cross screen for Gary Harris, who will curl looking to receive a pass going to the rim. See More

Here is a set that the sixers run often to get their possesions started with a few good looks at the basket. The key to this play is the 2 settin a sound back screen on the 4 man. This will force his man to help on the cut and enable the 5 to have a good angle to screen 2's man. A great simple option to get the ball to your best player. See More

Arizona State pulled off the upset victory over their long time rivals Arizona on Friday night. Herb Sendek has proven he's a winning coach at every stop during his long career. The Sun Devils are 8-4 in the PAC 12 and overall 19-6 on the season. This Box Set was one of their most used plays on Friday night and it has 4 really solid options all predicated on whether the ball is entered in the post to start. With a guard-guard exchange on the baseline to begin, the back screen determines which the way the offense will go as this is designed to get Bachynski the ball in the post. The Set continues though when this option isn't available and overall, this is a highly effective, easy too install set play. See More

This is a great play when you need a post touch and score or foul. 4 comes from behind and calls "touch" as he sets a back screen on 5's defender. 5 comes circles behind to catch and score. Second option is ball reversal followed by dive and fill action. The goal is to get the ball directly in the post or on a high low feed. See More

This is a great play to run against man to man and zone. 1 dribbles to the wing and 2 replaces 1's spot. On the 1-2 ball reversal, 4 flashes into the paint to draw his defender. At the same time, 5 crosses lane and sets back screen for 3 for lob play. See More
