John Zall 06/08/2016

The Golden State Warriors ran a stagger baseline screen for 2 to the right wing. The ball was reverses in the secondary break from the point guard to the trailing big over to the 2 guard on the right wing. The second screener in the original stagger screen then turned and set a cross screen for 4 to the post. 2 enterered the ball in the post to 4 on the right block. As soon as he entered the ball he got a "flare" screen from 5 for the top. Once the defender guarded that action the 5 immediately turned and set a "fire" screen, which is a re screen back towards the ball, for 2. 2 caught the pass out of the post from 4 for a jump shot. Basketball Play - VULCAN (Roman God of Fire)

VULCAN (Roman God of Fire)

This is a great competitive catch and shoot drill. You can use one or two partners and two balls-(one can be the passer and the other a rebounder). There are 5 spots on the floor-also 5 shots that are within most offenses. There are a few options for this drill: 1) First one to hit 5 consecutive shots wins. 2)How many can you make in 1 minute? 3) How many can you make in 2 minutes? Challenge: Shooter cannot move until he hits two in a row from each spot. If he misses more than three in a row he starts over. See More

Basketball Play - Boston Celtics Zip Wrap

Boston Celtics Zip Wrap

Adam Spinella 05/11/2016

Brad Stevens and the Celtics dealt with Isaiah Thomas being denied for much of their series against the Atlanta Hawks, and this was one counter that Stevens came up with to utilize Thomas. By having Thomas, who was denied, set a flare screen for Jae Crowder, there was no help defense as Crowder caught the ball uncontested on the wing. See More

Basketball Play - Syracuse Flare On-Ball

Syracuse Flare On-Ball

Kevin Bruinsma 05/04/2016

This action is how Syracuse scored their first basket against North Carolina in the Final Four. It is a great play with Syracuse’s personnel utilizing #10 Cooney and his shooting ability. The action begins with the high ball screen while Cooney flares off a screen looking for his shot. When he doesn’t have a shot the other post sets a side ball screen for him to attack the basket.
