This is the opening play run by the UCLA Bruins in their match-up against Nevada the ther night. Steve Alford is in his first season at the head of the storied UCLA program. Alford left New Mexico where he built a winning program and made the Lobos a yearly team for discussion come NCAA Tourmament time.
This play is a well designed action run out of Transition as the flashing post takes away thte weak side help on the backdoor action which opens the play. The stagger screen is set-up by the down screen at the elbow for the PG. With a good screening action, the Bruins were able to get an open look at the three right at the outset of the game.

The Florida Gators do a very good job running their half court Ball Screen Motion offense.
With good screening angles, strong basket cuts, and good spacing for kick-out passes, the Gators are able too breakdown defenses with their quickness on the perimeter and the strength of their inside game.
Coach Donovan does a good job adjusting his sets during the course of the game giving his team the best chance to get high percentage shots from their half court offenses.

The Denver Nuggets run this misdirection Hammer set to free up a shooter in the corner. The use a flare screen at the top to occupy the help defense, forcing a weak side defender to rotate towards the ball. That rotation sets up an opening in the corner for a shooter to make a cut to.

The variety of sets VCU runs in a single game gives their offense a chance to score on every possession.
What makes the VCU Rams such a tough team is their execution in the half court and the ability for their guards to handle the ball.
In this set, you have the Over / Under cut whch can be used to set-up your shooter or get post entry off the diagonal backscreen for the 4 man.
VCU also does a good job reading the defense with quick ball reversal, they are able to finish the set with a middle ball screen setting up penetration in the lane causing the defense to rotate.
