Favorite Send to FastDrawI saw this drill last week while watching the 2013 NBA Real Training Camp. The drill in frame 1 is how the Brooklyn Nets were shown performing this drill. The variation in Frame 2 came from the LA Clippers. I typically have my players circle the wagons during any live 5-on-5 action that starts in the half-court, but this drill is a great simulation to work on closing out at various angles during scramble situations. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. This play is best for teams with a passing big. You are running this play for your best shooter or scorer and your point guard. You will need to drill with your players on how to come off a hand off, and how to have your bigs read the defense to make the fake hand off. This is a great action for teams with a point guard that will be over played on the hand off. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSlovenia's focal point of their offense during this year's European Championship was Goran Dragic who plays in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns. This is a simple box set and with good reading by the 4 man before 1 cuts into the lane, he attacks the open side drawing the foul. A good isolation set for a stronger player who can post-up and take advantage of a good match-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHenrik Dettman was serving his second stint as Team Finland Head Coach and his team beat Greece, Russia and Turkey at this year's European Championship in Slovenia. Finland ran this to isolate their naturalized American Lee in the post and with a play ending backscreen, if the defense looks to double, the man is open on the weak side for a wide open lay-up See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a set play we used with success in our first season. It has multiple scoring options and a lot of movement. If the timing is good, the defense has to make split second decisions which can lead to easy points either on the paint or on the perimeter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great drill to start practice with. Gets players moving, passing, shooting and demands focus on technique. Re-create the types of shots you get in your half court or transition offense See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLithuania Coach Kazlauskas has a lot of experence in Europe and his offesive schemes incorporate a lot of ball movement and screening actions. Here is a tremendous set play run against France in the European Championship Final designed to isolate their strong 3 man, but when the play breaks down, the flat screen is used to isolate the PG for either a shot or penetration See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA well designed SLOB play run by French National Team Coach Vincent Collet designed to get an isolation in the paint, off a side ball screen. Here France used the low post flash to attack the basket off the ball screen and although this situation was not successful, the play itself brings a multitude of opportunities to score off a dead ball situation. Favorite Send to FastDrawLithuania did a great job throughout the European Championship utilizing ball screens in their offense to get spacing, post entry, and 3 pt shots off penetration & kick-out passes This play ends with a nice pass in the paint to the 5 man who sinks the lay-up See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Seconary Action run by France in the Championship Game of the European Championship against Lithuania has a lot of good movement off the ball and creates isolation situations for the post player or an opportunity for a 3 pt shot France with their NBA standouts were very good in utilizing spacing to make such plays effective throughout the 40:00 of action Sunday. Favorite Send to FastDrawFrank Martin and the South Carolina Gamecocks use this basic motion format at times as part of their "Spread" attack. The Gamecocks usually play with four guards under Martin, although the motion sets itself okay if the 4 is also a big man. The idea of the offense isn't to penetrate the defense through dribbling, but through getting an overload on one side in order to clear the opposite for a two-man game. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawFrance ran a number of sets in their Championship Game match-up against Lithuania looking to isolate Diaw in the post. This was a nice set run with a twist as the 5 man sets a timed screen-the-screener action on 2 who reading the defense curls into the lane for a short pull-up jumper. France played so well together and got contributions from everyone in their Offense during their Championship run. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawToday's Play of the Day is a transition option from Fred Hoiberg and the Iowa State Cyclones for a stretch shooting big man. Hoiberg ran this set coming out of transition for his forward Georges Niang, particularly against Kansas and Jef Withey, who was exceptionally poor at defending on the perimeter. This action fits well into Hoiberg's overall motion offense, which is strongly perimeter-based. His general pattern of offense has been dubbed basketball's version of the "Spread Offense". See More
