Favorite Send to FastDrawSHALLOW is a great quickhitting play to helps you attack Zone looks with a simple, but hard to guard action, giving you either a wide open look from 3 or an easy, high percentage paint touch. It was our gp-to play vs. 2-3 Zones last season. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawJohn Beilein had a masterful game plan against the Syracuse 2-3 Zone and here is another example of moving players and the ball to get the best possible shot The Orangemen were consistently spread out by the passing of the Wolverines and had their fair share of open looks There were also many secondary options off the sets which created match-up problems for the vaunted Syracuse Zone Defense of Jim Boeheim See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 passes to 2 who passes back to 1 to get the defense moving. 5 moves up from the block to set a screen for 2 at the elbow. At the same time, 3 runs across the baseline to the opposite wing. 1 passes to 2 then moves to the left corner. 4 runs up to set a ball-screen for 2. 2 drives middle looking for a shot. If a shot isn't there, 2 passes to 5 replacing 4. 5 passes to 1 on the wing. 1 looks for a shot or to pass to 5 or 4 in the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother Fred Hoiberg, Iowa State zone set. This is after a timeout vs. Texas. Inside ball screen against top piece of the zone the sprint to corner off rear screen. Screener then slips into high post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play with multiple options that Coach Izzo and Michigan State use against a 2-3 zone. It gives you a look at a post up, drive, short corner jumper, or 3 from the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitter against a 2-3 Zone to get an open 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick zone hitter from Wichita State used to create an open lob. The play starts with a ball reversal and a pass to 4 in the corner. Once 4 gets the ball, 5 steps to the short corner looking for a shot. If 5 isn't open, 4 dribbles up to the wing bringing the zone defender up with him. 4 then passes to 2. At that time, 3 flashes to the high post taking the attention of the zone defenders. 2 quickly passes to 1 as 5 slips behind the zone defenders to set a back-screen for 4. 1 looks to make the lob pass over the top of the defense to 4 for a dunk. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play was used eary in the game against Robert Morris and resulted in a foul down low as Okafor went up for a shot off of the hi/lo pass. Coach K does a great job creating an overload that forces Robert Morris to spread out and leave 1 defender on Okafor under the basket. Okafor seals the middle man in the zone and looks for the pass over the top. In the game, x4 could have helped on the lob pass but was stuck anticipating that the ball would be pass to Tyus Jones for a 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere are two zone options against a 2-3 zone from Tom Izzo and his Michigan State Spartans. The play starts with a dribble entry to the right wing pushing 2 into the lane. 2 stops at the rim as 5 screens the middle defender in the zone. 2 then curls around the screen looking to get the ball in the middle of the zone. On the weak side, 4 screens for the low defender on the left side to free up 3 cutting up to the wing. Once 2 gets the ball, the bottom left zone defender has to make a decision on who to guard. If he guards 3 on the wing, 2 passes to 4 for lay-up (Option 1). If the defender takes 4 in the post, 2 passes to 3 for a shot (Option 2). See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach K called this play in the second half of the game against Robert Morris. The play sends the point guard running across the baseline to the opposite corner against the zone. Both post players inside look for opportunities to seal their defenders. Once the ball gets inside to 4, he looks to shoot, pass out for a 3-point shot, or pass down to 5 cutting to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan State often attacks the zone with high ball screens... The screener short rolls, if the roller does not get the ball early-he must seal the high post area. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis has become a common Zone Set designed to get a good look against a 2-3 Zone. This has been run by Michigan State, Arizona, Kansas, Iowa State, Louisville and NC State. The key is attacking the center in the middle to open up the baseline. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quicker hitter against a 2-3 zone... Specifically a 2-3 Match-up zone that Louisville ran against Michigan State in the East Regional Final. Michigan State passes to the wing to the start the play (ultimately shifting the defense before screening the zone). See More
