Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Grizzlies ran a great ATO out of a sideline out bounds play with two options that led to a Marc Gasol three. The first option is a lob for the guard coming off a back screen and the second is the screener receiving a screen to get them open for a three. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Cleveland Cavs were up 5 with 30.9 seconds left and ran this play to help seal the win against the Indiana Pacers. This play was very difficult to guard because of all the offensive threats that were on the floor for the Cavs. The inital action forced the Pacers to defend the staggered screen so as not to give up an open 3 to a shooter (Kyle Korver). The secondary action used the Cavs two best players with 4 (Lebron James) setting a back screen for 1 (Kyrie Irving). x4 has a difficult choice to make. Helping on the backscreen might take away the layup but it would also get 4 an open shot. x4 stayed with his man and 1 got a wide open layup on the play. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens ran this ATO set in the first half of Game 1, against the Chicago Bulls. It resulted in back-to-back baskets for the Celtics. The first basket was a lob. On the second basket, the Celtics ran the set all the way through. The key to the set is that the Celtics used their best shooter to set the back screen, which eliminated the Bulls' ability to help. More coaches should use their best shooters as a screener, when their team is in need of an easy basket. Great design by Coach Stevens! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran this ATO in their playoff opener against the Chicago Bulls to get an easy basket at the rim. The dribble handoff and ball reversal actions are used to clear a side of the floor for the lob and get the defense to focus on stopping 1. In order to take the lob away x1 needs to drop and protect the rim, but he would run the risk of 1 getting open for a shot. The Celtics run a similiar action to this play where 1 is the primary option and will get the ball back on a handoff from 4. In this play x1 is focused on stopping 1 and doesn't provide help on the back screen. This gets 3 a wide open look on the lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPick & roll action from the Washington Wizards. If defense hedges on the ball-screen between 1 & 5, 1 has option of 4 "shorting" to the dunker spot/"Ghost" position for lob to 5 diving to basket. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat high post action with very fast-paced cutting happening around a skilled passer for a big man. The Spurs run this action to perfection. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw3 (Gordon Hayward) is denied the ball, so 5 pops out for an elbow catch from 1. 2 (Rodney Hood) setting backscreen for 4 forces X2 to help on the backcut allowing 2 to sprint into a DHO with 5 for an open shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Cleveland Cavs ran this as their first set play out of a timeout in their playoff opener against the Indiana Pacers. 2 cuts off fo the flex screen for the first option. 2 then turns to screen for 5. This action gives the Cavs two different look options. In this situation 3 passes to 5 for a layup. If that option is defended.2 should be open on the down screen from 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawATO Lob action from Atlanta Hawks HC Mike Budenholzer. The first option of this action, 2 brushes off of 5 curling to the basket. 4 looks to lob to 2. If X2 overplays 2 on the curl, 2 looks to cut backdoor clearing to the opposite side of the floor to create space for 5 to spin off of his man for the lob. See More
