Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set to run out of the read and react set. The object is to get your players cutting into the gaps of the zone before popping/moving to their spots around the perimeter. Make sure you teach your players to pass fake to cutters to shift the defense and help open up the gaps. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is simple yet very effective zone offense play that is one of my favorites. As 1 dribbles over, 2 overloads the floor making this play difficult to guard every option. After 5 screens in, he should try to post up hard on X5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a zone quick hitter that is run from a 1-4 high set. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Michigan Wolverines used this set against the Louisville Cardinals in the NCAA Championship game. The set incorporates a lot of cuts and rub screens to free players for possible shots. What makes this so efffective is the "reads" the Wolverines make in order to get the shots they want against the match-up zone of the Cardinals. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitter to catch the defense off guard by setting multiple screens on the defenders. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play that I got from Billy Gillispie at a clinic. He used this play several times against Syracuse's 2-3 zone defense when he was the head coach at Texas A&M. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis zone offense play from Wichita State was run versus Louisville in the 2013 Final Four. This play from Gregg Marshall is one of my favorite zone offense actions of all time; mostly because Billy Donovan runs it frequently, and very well. Setting the pick & roll on the top of the zone forces X2 to help or switch onto the ball. On the pass from 2 to 1, X2 is caught trying to recover so X4 starts sliding up to stunt. Making for a perfect opportunity for 5 to duck in hard on the zone for a post-up. For every play Wichita State ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my eBook, “Championship Execution”. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan's John Beilein ran this play versus Syracuse in the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta. This action consists of tons of movement forcing the defense to communicate and scramble around. As the defense scrambles to match-up to cutters, it is a great opportunity to set a pick & roll on the zone. To see every play Michigan ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my ebook, Championship Execution. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA good zone action to get your post player an easy shot around the block. Timing is really important and 2 has to make the bottom guy in the zone guard him so that they can screen him. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a quick hitter against the zone that St. Louis ran this past season. This is an effective set because of the stress it places on the strong side defender on the block whether or not to stay home or to guard the corner to prevent a 3. If the point guard reads the defender properly, this set should lead to an uncontested lay-up or three point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawEnf of half Lob Action vs the 2-3 Zone run by the Michigan Wolverines against the Syracuse Orangement in this years Final 4 Semi-Final match-up See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe double screen action opens the gap for penetration from the wing by the 3 man When x5 steps up to help, the ball handler has multiple options to hit for a good scoring chance See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a good set run against the 2-3 Zone with multiple ball screen actions forcing the defense to make quick rotation decisions See More
