Here is a set play that starts out with high stacks and morphs into a 1-4 set. This is a great set because it gets the ball swinging from side to side, has action going both towards and away from the basket, as well as a ball screen. You can also adapt this play so that 2 and 4 play pick and pop after the ball screen or you can pop 1 out for a 3pt chance off a stagger screen from 4 and 5 after 4 ball screens 2. See More

With .6 seconds left during game 3 of the NBA Summer League, the Brooklyn Nets ran this sideline out of bounds play to try and win the 4th quarter and secure a point. Here is a play that John Calipari ran in his first year at Kentucky. This was a great set for that team because of where it placed their extremely talented players. You had 5 (Cousins) in the post, 1 (John Wall) attacking off the ball screen, and 2 (Eric Bledsoe) coming off of the stagger. They would run this at the end of the shot clock to get a good look. Here is a set play that Bucknell ran in the NCAA tournament this year against Butler. This is a counter to a similar action that they ran earlier in the same game. In the previous play 2 would cut to the corner opposite the ball and 1 would hit 3 on the wing for an ISO. In this counter 2 stops his cut under the basket and pops to the top of the key for a catch and shoot opportunity. This is an effective set when coupled with the previously described play. This clear out play can be used to score quickly in three ways. One, as 3 and 5 clear to the right side, 4 catches at elbow and drives left to open side to score. Second option is hand off from 4-1 for penetration by 1. If 4 fakes the hand off, 3 comes out of th corner using screens from 2 and 5. Give it a try! See More

Late in the 2nd quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the MIami Heat ran this pick & roll play for Lebron James which led to an open 3-pointer for Ray Allen. The spacing by the Miami Heat made this very difficult to guard. The Spurs were forced to defend Lebron on the pick which led to Ray Allen's defender rotating down to help Lebron found him easily on the wing. See More

This play starts off with a basic flex action and then develops into a back screen for a lob opportunity and then finishes with a screen the screener action to get an open three.
