Favorite Send to FastDrawSet good screens and cut hard. Inbounder needs to hit the players right when they get open and not make them wait on the ball. Get a basket off of the inbound pass or get right into your offense. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKeep the ball and players moving until the defense breaks down and there is an open shot or driving lane. Cut hard without the ball and maintain good spacing. Keep the ball moving and hit your teammates when they are open. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSet a good ball screen and have the point guard look to turn the corner and get in the paint. Make the defense suck in and then hit the shooter coming off the screen. Set a good down screen and the shooter coming off the screen needs to set his man up. Make the defense decide whether the are going to help on the ball screen or stay with the shooter on the pin down screen. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern basketball season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis series of plays was submitted to the NHSBCA Playbook by Winning Hoops, courtesy of Dick Manzo from Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ. Use the same action to get a shot for your best shooter in a quick hitter, sideline out of bounds play, and baseline out of bounds play. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play requires you to have a 4 man that can shoot it from the three point line. When the defense is sagging to protect the paint, your 5 man sets a pin down screen on X4, and your 4 man pops to the top of the key for a three point shot. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIt is not just enough to pass the basketball around the zone and jack up 3 point shots. Your team needs to be able to go inside out for shots. You can get inside touches by passing or driving the ball. Inside out 3 pointers are much higher percentage shots for your team and they make the defense work. Keep the ball moving and have the big man flash hard for the ball. Seal in the outside baseline defender so that the shooter has a better look. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA quick hitting 2-3 zone set that puts pressure on the bottom wing of the zone to make a decision on who to guard. Your point-guard needs to be able to make the right decision and find the open man; either 5 on the block or 3 in the corner. Most of the time, X4 will try to go out and guard 3 on wing, leaving 5 open on the block. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play is a good play to get a high low action if you have a good passing big man, or if you have a great shooter or isolation player that can play off of a hand off situation. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA quick set to get a 3 pt shot for your best shooter in the corner. 2 has to do a good job of making his defender "relax" before he sprints down to the corner. Likewise, 5 wants his guy to help on the baseline drive so that he doesnt help out on the flare screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawShooter needs to set his man up and make a good read. Screeners need to set goo solid screens and then react out of them to make an offense play. Unless it is an end of game situation where your team is up then side line out of bounds basketball play should be run to get a bucket. You either want to score right out of the sideline play or get right into your offense. Don’t waist opportunities to run set out bounds plays. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA set Ohio State runs to get good looks for its shooters. The numbering can be changed around depending on player abilities. The middle catch and the 3 coming off a rescreen action is tough to guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIf your best basketball player is a pure shooter and doesn’t really put the ball down on the floor well then it is going to be absolutely key that you have plenty of screens for him to get good looks. This basketball play is exactly what it sounds like. The shooter sets a single screen, then cuts off of the baseline double screen. Screeners need to set good legal screens and shooter needs to read his defender and come off the right screen. Screeners need to be ready to catch and finish the ball if their man helps too much on the shooter. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA blob action from Williams coach Mike Maker. His team does a great job of getting the inbounder shots off of action like this. The key is to have your second cutter seek out the inbounders defender on the tight curl and almost set a "moving screen" so that the man defending the cutter doesnt realize its a screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great Need 3 play from Dennis Felton. See More
