Set a good down screen and the shooter coming off the screen needs to set his man up. 2-3 Zone - Post Flash with Baseline Runner
11/06/2012It is not just enough to pass the basketball around the zone and jack up 3 point shots. Your team needs to be able to go inside out for shots. You can get inside touches by passing or driving the ball. Inside out 3 pointers are much higher percentage shots for your team and they make the defense work. Keep the ball moving and have the big man flash hard for the ball. Seal in the outside baseline defender so that the shooter has a better look. 11/01/2012Shooter needs to set his man up and make a good read. Screeners need to set goo solid screens and then react out of them to make an offense play. Unless it is an end of game situation where your team is up then side line out of bounds basketball play should be run to get a bucket. 10/30/2012If your best basketball player is a pure shooter and doesn’t really put the ball down on the floor well then it is going to be absolutely key that you have plenty of screens for him to get good looks. This basketball play is exactly what it sounds like. The shooter sets a single screen, then cuts off of the baseline double screen. Screeners need to set good legal screens and shooter needs to read his defender and come off the right screen. 10/29/2012A blob action from Williams coach Mike Maker. His team does a great job of getting the inbounder shots off of action like this. The key is to have your second cutter seek out the inbounders defender on the tight curl and almost set a "moving screen" so that the man defending the cutter doesnt realize its a screen. See More
