Favorite Send to FastDraw"Get" is a dribble handoff counter used in secondary break offense that can be run to set up post feeds on both sides of the floor. The end result is a three around two formation that can be used to get you into your offense. Favorite Send to FastDrawOpposite is a secondary break play that is run when the point guard is forced to the other side of the floor. The end result is a screen-the-screener play that hits quickly and can get your team into your half court offense. Favorite Send to FastDrawIf you have a great #2 and you want to run secondary break offense, plays from Larry Brown's "Iverson" series might be just what you need. This series sets up your #2 to score consistently and to maximize his skill set within the framework of your team's offensive scheme. Favorite Send to FastDrawSpain ran this beautiful quick hitter to post-up Marc Gasol in their game versus Macedonia yesterday. After 3 cross-screens for 5 I would love to add 4 pinning down for 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawMacedonia ran this Early Offense stagger action today in International play versus Spain. The goal would be to get 3 coming off the stagger looking to score. If not the post up for one of the bigs is another viable option. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Sweep" is a secondary break play run by several teams including Colorado and Harvard. This play is based on the North Carolina approach to secondary break offense made popular by Dean Smith and Roy Williams. It can be run if you do not have players athletic enough to run the Carolina break for the lob dunk and can be run into any kind of a three-around-two offense. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs ran this against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals to create seperation on #21 Tim Duncan's side ball screen. #4 Danny Green while Duncan was trailing the play set his man up and set a screen for Duncan so he had a great screening angle on #9 Tony Parker. Everyone spaced the floor and Duncan & Parker played two man game. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA very simple and common set that the San Antonio Spurs ran and scored effectively in the NBA Finals was their screen the screener action out of Early Offense. Miami began defending it by having their weakside corner defender moving up to the top of the key to be there on the catch, and allowing their defender to chuck the post player coming across the lane longer. The Spurs caught on and skipped it to the weakside corner once for a 3. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Miami Heat ran this set Wednesday night in Game 2 and they also ran it this evening in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals versus the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls being one of the most defensive minded teams in the league, I was surprised they got caught on this same play a second time. As the defense quickly showed on the 3->4 screen, Lebron does a very good job with his footwork creating position on the block for an easy angle to post-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawQuick hitting play from the Stanford curl/rub series. 4 and 5 screen for 3 curling over the top. 3 continues to cut to right corner to clear the lane. 5 quickly screens again for 4 who curls hard into the lane to catch and score. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a great quick hitter that can be run right out of transition that Iowa State used numerous times throughout this past season. The quick hitter is tremendous because it flows right out of transition and seeks to put the ball in the hands of your best players (2 and 5) multiple times. Also, this play creates great spacing for your trail man (5 in this play) to get the ball in an isolation scenario if the other options are not available. See More
