Favorite Send to FastDrawTeam USA basketball faced a zone defense for much of their game against Turkey in the FIBA World Cup. They were down 1 late in overtime and ran this play to get a shot for Joe Harris (3) off of some movement. This is a common play that Gregg Popovich uses with the Spurs against man defense. They made some adjustments to run this as an effective play against Turkey's 2-3 zone defense. 1 reversed the ball to 5. Then 5 went into a dribble handoff with 2. but didn't need to set a good screen on x2. This allowed x2 to get through the screen and shift out of the wing area to matchup with 2 up top. 5 then screened x4 on the outside of the zone to get 3 open. This essentially forced Turkey to matchup man to man with x4 having to guard 3. x4 trailed on the screen and 3 was able to turn the corner on the catch and drive to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set involves mutliple actions that will really force the defense to be locked in. This can be run for a dominant post player to get an iso look inside, a counter to get a three off that post player, or as an ATO with multiple options. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawSteve Kerr is known for his free-flowing read bases offense. Here you will see Sean Livingston throw it in and usually Laker cut off the post ( Splits action). Instead, he pins in for Klay who goes right into a DHO. This is very hard to guard off of a post up due to the help side defense being screened. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB is a nice counter to the general Triple Stack STS set Northwestern used to get a post iso touch. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoach Zeljko Obradovic runs this play for his lefty point guard Kostas Sloukas. A set play which makes defenders chase and react on DHO situations, followed by a middle pick and roll. A quick relocation of 3 and 4 to the corners is important, in order to create a double gap for the point guard to attack the basket and have all passing options available. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was used by the Philadelphia 76ers during the first round of the 2019 NBA playoffs. This is a great after time out or sideline out of bounds play when a team needs a 3 and has a shooter with a quick release. See More

Favorite Send to FastDraw“Thumbs Up” is a quick hitter play run for Toronto’s shooters. Nick Nurse seemingly adapted the general concept of continuous staggered screens from plays run by Dwane Casey in previous years. This one is generally run in a normal half court scenario with the aim being to get Kyle Lowry and Danny Green good catch-and-shoot opportunities. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play, a staple of the San Antonio Spurs offense for years, has become a pet-play of Nick Nurse’s to start the game or half. Put into the Raptors playbook in the middle of the season, this play is used for Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam, and Marc Gasol to get a post touch. The first option is for a post-up to score, but the second option/counter involves a kickout pass to leverage aggressive off-ball defense against itself. See More
