Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another baseline corner option used by Virginia to get Joe Harris the ball in the corner. The Cavaliers do a great job of moving without the ball making the defense chase shooters. In this option, Harris gets the ball in the corner looking for a shot. If a shot isn't there, Harris plays a two-man game with his 4 man for a pick & roll or pick & pop play in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play from the Virginia Cavaliers from last season. The play was used to get Joe Harris a shot in the corner. If Virginia can't get him a shot on the initial cut to the ball-side corner, the ball is reversed sending Harris along the baseline to the opposite corner for a 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWisconsin used this set in the 1st half of their win over Coastal Carolina in Round 2 action. The Badgers ran this UCLA style offense multiple times throughout the night using different screens and 2 man game options. In this particular set the play is designed to get a shooter coming off of a stagger screen. Although the play was successful, the Badgers were unable to convert on the open jump shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Iowa Hawkeyes set is a twist on a set that most coaches either have in their playbook or have seen on the court before. The Hawkeyes used a back screen cross screen combo to get a wide open dunk on the opposite block. In their screen the screener action the initial screener is a shooter who will receive the second screen to get to the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa used this set to get an open 3 in their Round 2 matchup with Davidson. The last action of the play netted Iowa a 3 from the top of the key. This horns action from the Hawkeyes is a 4 movement set with a ball screen, back screen, and two down screens for shooters. Iowa used this multiple times during the game hitting earlier options in the set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa ran this BLOB set for a wide open 3 in their Round 2 rout of Davidson. This simple but effective set clears out the ball side of the floor allowing the stagger screen to do its job without being impeded by help side defenders. Seems too simple to work but the Hawkeyes got a wide open 3 and knocked it down to extended their lead on Davidson. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCoastal Carolina used this set on their first scoring play against Wisconsin in their Round 2 matchup. The Chanticleers used this action multiple times adding a few different wrinkles with ball screens along the way. This set starts out in a horns look but then uses back to back stagger screens bringing the ball side guard around on the final screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSDSU used this play to get an isolation look at the elbow with the 4 man. The play starts with 2 making the first cut to the opposite corner and 3 stepping out to the right corner. The point guard then makes the entry pass to 4 at the elbow and clears out to the left wing. After 1 clears, 4 looks to drive right to the basket looking for a lay-up or foul. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGonzaga runs this set for a HI PNR for their shooting guard. I like this set and it works because it keeps the defense moving, and has a stretch 4 spread the floor after freezing his man. Kevin Pangos being an elite 3 point threat is on the wing to prevent any weakside help, and having 3 shooters spacing the floor allows the PNR to be effective. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawNorth Dakota State ran this Horns set early in the game against Gonzaga. Looking to get their stretch 4 an open jump shot, they run a nice Horns set into a 2-man game on the wing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSan Diego State opened up the game with this play and forced St. John's to foul at the rim. The play starts with a pass entry to the wing then a loop by the point guard down to the rim and back out to the perimeter. 4 gets the ball in the short corner and looks for an opening to make a move for a shot. If 4 doesn't have anything, he looks to pass to 2 cutting off of a flare screen from the point guard or hit 5 diving to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLon Kruger called this play in the second half against Albany. In this BLOB, the Sooners are trying to get an open shot on the perimeter for Buddy Hield. Hield starts out at the block in front of the ball. The play starts with a cross-screen by Hield for 4. 4 gets the ball at the elbow and gives the ball to the inbounder on a dribble hand-off. Once the point guard has the ball back, he sets up a misdirection by dribbling left as Hield cuts off of a staggered screen out to the right wing. 1 passes to Hield for a 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIowa ran this play in the second half to get an open lay-up for Aaron White. The play starts with 2 low stacks. White (5) pops out to the perimeter. If he has a shot here he can take it. If not, 4 sets a flare-screen for 1. 5 passes to 1 on the wing. Once 1 has the ball, 5 cuts off of a back-screen from 2. In the game, 1 hits White on the cut for a lay-up. If White isn't open, 1 can pass to 2 cutting up off of a down-screen from 4. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is another great play from Oklahoma State to get Phil Forte a shot. The play starts with multiple dribble hand-offs that gets the defense chasing the ball. Once the ball is back to the point guard, he dribbles towards the middle of the floor then hits the wing on a snapback. Forte (2) sets a cross-screen for 5 then gets a down-screen from 4. Forte cuts to the top of the key for an open shot. See More
