With 1:36 left in the game vs. Wisconsin, Tyus Jones hit a huge 3-point shot to put the Blue Devils up 66-58. The play started with Jones dribbling to the left as Winslow looped around to set up for a ball-screen. Jones waved off Winslow sending him out to the wing. Okafor sprints up to set a ball-screen for Jones. Koenig goes over the top of the screen and Kaminksy is moving backwards as Okafor rolls leaving just enough room for Jones to pull up for a 3-point shot. See More

In this SLOB from Coach David Arseneault Jr., the Big Horns start with an interchange of 4 and 3 to the blocks and 1 cutting up alone to the top of the key to get the ball. 1 then takes the ball to the opposite side of the floor sending 2 on a cross-screen at the free-throw line to the left wing and 3 to the right corner away from the action. If 2 isn't open, 1 gets a ball-screen from 4 who sprints to the ball-screen off of a down-screen from 5. The action at the top of the key opens up pick & roll as well as a duck-in for 5 inside. The play starts in a 2-guard front with all five players above the free-throw line. With a reversal of the ball and a cut from 3 to the left corner, the team creates an overload on the left side which opens up the initial back-cut and lob option to 4. If 4 isn't open, he clears out as 5 dribbles across the floor looking to pass to 1 cutting to the basket. David Stockton has had success making the back-cut on this play. See More

Here is a quick zone hitter from Wichita State used to create an open lob. The play starts with a ball reversal and a pass to 4 in the corner. Once 4 gets the ball, 5 steps to the short corner looking for a shot. If 5 isn't open, 4 dribbles up to the wing bringing the zone defender up with him. 4 then passes to 2. At that time, 3 flashes to the high post taking the attention of the zone defenders. 2 quickly passes to 1 as 5 slips behind the zone defenders to set a back-screen for 4. 1 looks to make the lob pass over the top of the defense to 4 for a dunk. Here is a multiple stagger set play from Wichita State. The play starts with an entry pass to the wing and a back-screen for the point guard. As the point cuts into the lane, 4 moves to the ball-side block looking for the post up. The first staggered screen is then set getting the shooting guard the ball at the top of the key. If no shot is available, 5 and 2 play a pick-and-roll as 3 cuts off of a baseline staggered screen to the corner. See More

Here is a nice little ATO set that can be used in late game situations or when you need a basket. Starting in a 1-4 High alignment can allow for the defense to be vulerable to the back door cut. Nonetheless the ball screen actions will draw a lot of attention and allow for the three on the wing or the reversal and throw inside. See More

Here is a 1-4 high play that Arizona liked to use early in the games this season. The play creates an overload on the left side of the floor to open up a quick lob for the point guard. If the lob isn't open, multiple ball-screens and hand-offs are executed to create scoring options. Arizona used this play a lot towards the end of the season, especially in the Pac-12 and NCAA Tournaments. See More

Duke ran a very nice curl set out of a timeout to get Tyus Jones an easy layup. A counter out of their normal set, instead of running backscreen into a ballscreen, they bring the guard around a curl and lift the big to the 3 point line opening up the lane. See More
