This a very good closeout and conditioning drill. The defender is working on 3 phases:
The ball becomes live and the offensive player can either shoot or drive.
The coach with ball at the top of the key will pass to the wing and the defense should jump to the help position on the pass.
Then the coach feeds the post post and on the dribble the defense stunts to dig the ball.
The post coach then passes the ball out to the wing to an offensive player, who should be ready to catch an attack. The defense closes out to the offense.
On the catch it becomes live 1v1.
