06/14/2013Baseline out of bounds play ran by the CT in their 66-62 loss to the Mystics 6/7/13. The play starts off with a familiar box set action. Often when 4 passes to 1, 4 would screen the screener. The Sun flipped the down screeners, having a big screen a little into the lane. Usually a little will screen a big into the lane. This change allowed 2 to run the baseline coming off of 4 and 5's screens. Having the bigs screen the guard on the baseline should prevent a switch. See More

06/01/2013Here is a set play that was run often by the Pitt Panthers over the course of this last college basketball season. This play starts off with a basic flex action and then develops into a back screen for a lob opportunity and then finishes with a screen the screener action to get an open three. This play is great because the ball is changing sides of the floor, you have action going to the basket and away from the basket, and also flows right out of transition. See More

EC Game 1 Winner
05/29/2013Incredible set by Coach Spo. Has a great floor spacing lineup with 4 shooters plus LeBron. This action has everyone moving and because of their offesnive game they all have to be guarded. This allows LeBron to get open on the left side lane extended. He then can drive an kick to anyone on the floor but he takes advantage of his spacing to score a layup. 05/29/2013This is a baseline out of bounds play that I ran for my Junior Varsity squad this past season. I initially drew it up figuring it would work well versus man defense. However, as the season progressed, I found that this play worked almost every time against a zone (especially 2-3) zone. It takes some time to teach younger players how to screen in different situations but my 5's become great at sealing under the rim and almost always resulted in a lay-up. See More

NBA Play of the Day May 27: San Antonio Spurs EOG
05/27/2013With the game tied 85-85 and 3.3 seconds left on the clock the Spurs ran this sideline out of bounds play in their 93-89 game 2 OT win over Memphis. Duncan set a great screen to free Manu up, but Leonard was unable to make the pass. Duncan flashed to the ball and shot a contested three but if Leonard hit Manu, Manu would have had great momentum driving to the hoop for the game winner. See More

05/23/2013This is the play the Miami Heat ran last night to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Indiana Pacers. The sports world and social media are a buzz about this play mostly because of Hibbert sitting out and George over playing. But let's give credit to Eric Spoelstra. He ran this same exact play at the end of the 4th quarter to get Ray Allen a game winning 3-pointer that came up short. With Hibbert out of the game this play really spread out the floor to open up the driving lane for Lebron to make the game winning lay-up. See More

05/20/2013With 6.4 seconds left this was the final play of regulation in game 4 win for Memphis. The game was tied at this point and Perkins ended up blocking Randolph's shot to send the game into overtime. Memphis got the isolation from the sideout of bounds situation but was not able to convert it to a basket. See More
