Favorite Send to FastDrawGonzaga ran this set against Duke to utilize high-low/post players. They were successful in picking and popping and driving to the rim. It's important for timing that as soon as 4 sets first screen must sprint into high ball screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere are two hi/lo options out of the horns set from Miami. Miami is playing well in the NIT with a chance to advance to the finals with a win over Temple. In these options, the Hurricanes use a horns staggered screen with the point guard dribbling from left to right. In the first option, 4 rolls and 5 sets a pin down for 3 in the corner. Once 3 gets the ball he looks to pass inside to 5 or to 4 flashing high post for a hi/lo look. In the second option, 4 sets a flare-screen for 5 before cutting to the block. If 5 isn't open on the screen, he sets a screen for 3 who gets the ball at the top of the key. 3 again looks at 5 or to 4 flashing high. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a lob option used by Rick Pitino and his Louisville Cardinals. The play uses a lot of side-to-side action getting the defense to chase cutters around the floor. The play starts with all 5 players above the free-throw line. The point guard passes to 4 then cuts to the basket off of a back-screen from 5. If the quick lob isn't there, 2 cuts across the floor weaving between screens from 5 and 4. Once 2 gets the ball, he gets a staggered ball-screen from the bigs. Multiple scoring options in this play make it difficult for teams to guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play Michigan State has run throughout the tournament. Timing is crucial. 2 must look to change pace on his cut around the three screens. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawUCLA runs this man to man play against Gonzaga early in the second half. Timing is crucial. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSimilar to a set play we saw from SMU in the round of 64, North Carolina ran this look against Wisconsin in the Sweet 16. The first look is for the 5 man over the top for a lob. If the lob isn't there, 5 seals for a post up. A weakside stagger occupies any help for the post defender. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWichita State ran this set around the 10:00 mark of the first half in their NCAA matchup against Notre Dame, resulting in a 3pt basket. This play features multiple scoring options, with a backscreen lob option for 1, a ballscreen for the 2, and a stagger screen for the 3, not to mention opportunities for the bigs to slip on any screen. Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a nice 1-4 Low set that gives your the inital option to have your point or lead guard take his man off the bounce. As that is playing out the other players create some movement to have defense looking to defend cutters. You can get a nice Hi-Lo out of your post game or catch and shoot option for your wings. Favorite Send to FastDrawTennessee-Martin 4 Low. UTM coach Heath Schroyer drew this BLOB set up for the game winner against Eastern Kentucky to send the Skyhawks to the Final Four of the CIT. The Skyhawks had the ball with 6.3 seconds left down 2. Marshun Newell (2) sets to inbound the basketball. The set begins with the first option which is a triple stagger for a guard coming from the opposite corner to the ball side corner. After he was covered he cleared toward half court. Chandler Rowe (5) is the final screener. He opens up to catch the entry pass just inside the 3 pt. line. After the catch Newell sprints in to take the DHO and hits the game winning 3 from the corner. Favorite Send to FastDrawOhio State ran this play with 7 minutes remaining in the second half of their game against VCU. Timing is crucial for this play to be successful. The play becomes hard to guard because of simultaneous actions. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCincinnati ran this play in the second round of the NCAA tournament against Purdue. It should be emphasized how open 1 will get off of 5's back screen, if 1 cuts hard and 5 looks for him - if players do a poor job setting up this action, it will make it that much harder to effectively get open off the elevator screen (defender will top-lock elevator cut). It is vitally important that after 4 helps set stagger screen with 5, that he seals aggressively... If 4 does a good job sealing, he will at the very least get a high-low catch from 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAfter the 16-minute media timeout in the 2nd half, Albany was down 8, while coming up empty on the previous three possessions. They forced Oklahoma into a tough outside shot and after getting the defensive rebound; Coach Brown called a Floppy Triple set. As you can tell in the video, the play was designed to get Peter Hooley (#12) a shot. The defense was prepared to take away Hooley in the play, which left Ray Sanders (#1) wide-open coming off the screen. This is a great play to run in an After Time Out situation. You can give your two best shooters looks coming off screens. See More
