Favorite Send to FastDrawWatch the video below as Coach Tony Miller uses FastDraw, the #1 play diagramming program for basketball coaches, to break down this innovative set from Texas A&M Corpus Christi’s First Four game. It starts with a “bunch” alignment that has been made popular by Islanders’ head coach Steve Lutz. If 1 doesn’t have a finish near the rim, they can pass to 2 coming off the stagger set by the bunch players. Send this play to FastDraw using the button above. Favorite Send to FastDrawWatch the video below as Coach Tony Miller uses FastDraw, the #1 play diagramming program for basketball coaches, to break down this backdoor look that a number of NCAA tourney teams have gone to when needing a bucket. There are many ways to get to the final “burn” action, but in this case the Jays use a stagger to pull help defenders away from the rim. Send the play to your FastDraw library via the button above. Favorite Send to FastDrawWhile watching the Michigan vs Colorado State game today, I noticed a simple action that was used early in transition. Using cuts/rubs to move defenders is the key. You will be able to get a nice post entry to your inside post on the block, a 3-point look off the back screen or high low action. Follow more #FastModelMadness22 here See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set play from the Dallas Mavericks works great after you've run stagger screen actions a few times. Most of the time the stagger screen would be the main action in the play and x3 can have a tendency to relax since he's not a part of it. This play capitalizes on that by quickly going away from the stagger screen and hitting 3 on the backdoor pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Florida Gulf Coast Eagles women's team is known for their five-out offense and three-point shooting but this is a great quick-hitting play that they run to get a lob for their 5. The play starts with the guards curling around the posts at the elbows followed by a UCLA cut by the point guard and they 5 popping out to receive the pass from 3. 5 then reverses to 4 to setup the decoy action of 2 cutting off a screen from 1. 3 then sets the backscreen for 5 on the weakside for the lob. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB has the potential to catch the defense off guard for a lob at the rim, otherwise look for 2 coming off for a shot, or to connect to your offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere we have your basic Horns Flare situation to take advantage of a 4 who can create. There is plenty of opportunity to mix in other actions on the catch from 4 if there is no immediate advantage: DHO with 2, backdoor for 2 or even a Hammer action for 1 with a screen by 2 or 3. Favorite Send to FastDrawIn this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play looking to use a ball screen veer for either a three-point shot, or a slip off the stagger. It's important to read both, and let the defense decide which action you will pursue.
