Favorite Send to FastDrawThe first look typically begins with the 4 and 5 man free-throw line extended and the 2 and 3 under the basket. Each player can then pop out on their respective sides, using the down screens (pin downs) set by the bigs. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Washington Wizards were tied with the Orlando Magic with 0.8 seconds remaining last December. After calling a timeout, Coach Randy Wittman drew up this SLOB set designed to get one of his better shooters (not named Bradley Beal) coming off a quick screen and then slice to the corner to clear out the help and the lane area to open up the rim. Beal, the athlete/dunker in this set, simultaneously comes off a screen from a big and then rolls back to the rim for the game winning lob lay in. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA set that Brad Stevens runs after time outs and at the end of games is "Flip Flare." This set is designed to create action before a flare screen for a stretch 4 like Jared Sullinger or Kelly Olynyk. After setting a down screen and then opening up to the ball, the 4 man flips it back to 1, this is especially effective against teams that ICE ballscreens, as his defender will be below the flare screen. After he flips it this is when the other big sets flare screen, looking for a quick hitter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOn April 2, 2015 of this past season, the Phoenix Suns were down one point with 6.8 seconds remaining on the road at the Golden State Warriors. The Suns ran a brilliant ATO SLOB quick hitting set to clear out the weak side and get an open lay-up for Eric Bledsoe. The Warriors did not switch any of the screens. Instead, the Warriors chased/trailed the screens, allowing the weak side to be cleared out and Bledsoe to curl in for the go-ahead lay-up (however, the Warriors would eventually hit a game winning shot at the buzzer). Favorite Send to FastDraw5 sets a wide pin down for 3 in the corner. 1 dribbles right then passes to 3. Once 3 has the ball, 1 cuts off of a back-screen from 4. If 1 isn't open on the cut, 4 sets a ball-screen for 3. 3 dribbles right as 4 rolls and 2 spots up in the corner for a 3-point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Memphis Grizzlies ran this terriffic set to get Mike Conley an open look to attack the rim. This was in Game 1 of the 1st Round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs at home against the Portland Trailblazers. The Grizzlies ran this set to start the 3rd quarter and got a quick bucket from Conley to extend their lead. See More
