Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play puts immediate pressure on the defense with a down-screen directly into a ball-screen. It looks like the Raptors get a little mixed up here, but Joseph makes up for it with a nice drive to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Raptors make it look like they are going into typical flex actions (cross screen/down screen), but instead flip the flex cutter into a staggered screen. DeRozan can then choose to use the staggered screen or use a single down screen for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great competitive catch and shoot drill. You can use one or two partners and two balls-(one can be the passer and the other a rebounder). There are 5 spots on the floor-also 5 shots that are within most offenses. There are a few options for this drill: 1) First one to hit 5 consecutive shots wins. 2)How many can you make in 1 minute? 3) How many can you make in 2 minutes? Challenge: Shooter cannot move until he hits two in a row from each spot. If he misses more than three in a row he starts over. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe number one set the Thunder run for Kevin Durant. Durant sets a high ballscreen out of stack and then dives to the rim. After he sets a screen for the man in the corner, and then receives a screen from the 5 man after he sets a ballscreen for the point guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Oklahoma City Thunder run a great backdoor set for Russell Westbrook with Kevin Durant passing. After intial action similar to floppy, Durant comes off a pindown into a dribble hand off. After the hand off he hesitates looks at Westbrook who then plants and goes backdoor. Look for the Thunder to unleash this set in the conference finals, typically after a time out. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a play used by Toronto in the NBA Playoffs against Miami. The 4 man turns down a stack screen and 3 curls around 5 at the elbow for a shot in the lane. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawRick Carlisle has installed a UCLA series offense within the Mavericks playbook this season, and this is one of the nicer wrinkles he's added -- a play creating a lot of movement in the middle of the lane out of a 1-4 high set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawRick Carlisle utilizes Dirk Nowitzki as a stretch-shooting big man in a variety of ways. This set has Nowitzki coming off a down screen from the point guard, which is an incredibly difficult action to defend. Defenders of point guards are not used to hedging screens, nor are big men to trailing Nowitzki through them. A switch leaves the ball in Nowitzki's hands with a smaller defender on him, and a big man guarding a point guard on an isolated side of the floor. See More
