Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is great quick hitter used after a timeout by Coach Archie Miller. I like this set because it uses some false motion followed with a screen the screener action that really puts pressure on the defense to communicate. As seen in the video clip below, the defenders do not switch correctly which leads to a wide open three. TIPS: Coaches incorporate false motion combined with STS actions! Give the defense a "dummy" look before entering your STS look. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawForcing the defense to choose between two scoring options is a forte of Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBall out of bounds on the side... Down 1 (or 2)... Late in the shot clock... This screen the screener action can get you multiple looks, including a shot right at the front of the rim. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis ATO from Boston's Brad Stevens can get you a lob at the rim or a 3, depending on how the defense plays the screen-the-screener action. Blog post by Tony Miller: Why You NEED FastDraw iPad This Season! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of the many "Diamond" sets from Henrik Dettmann of the Finnish National Team. 2, a shooter, sets the back screen for 4. As x2 helps on the back screen, 5 dribbles out of the post into a handoff for 2. Because x2 bumps 4 on his cut, he is trailing behind 2 out of position to contest. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe consecutive actions of a back screen and a down screen will result in x1 getting lost for a brief moment (helping on 3), creating enough space for an open look from deep. Click here for more Golden State Warriors sets! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another Horns set that Croatia ran against Lithuania in the first window of the second round of the FIBA European Qualifiers. It's designed to get Saric a post up. After the elbow entry to 2, 1 and 3 set a double rip screen for 4. While this is happening, 5 sets a ball screen for 2 to occupy the defense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is just one of the ways that the Mystics get into the action with Toliver setting a back screen for Delle Donne. If Toliver does not have an open 3, she can throw the ball into the post. On the FMS Blog: WNBA Finals - Top Plays Breakdown See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a counter from the base action I diagramed entitled, "Toledo Horns Floppy." This is a very simple yet effective counter you can run with this set. The vide below is not of this set itselft, but the base Horns Floppy action. As 2 comes off of 5's floppy screen, 4 will hit 2 and sprint straight into a side pick and roll. 2 will hunt the nail pulling the ball two bounces away from the screen looking to get in the paint with a scoring mindset first. As 4 rolls to the rim 5 will set a back screen on the defender in ball screen coverage. I worded that carefully to account for the likelihood of a switch. Screen the defender that is in ball screen coverage. After setting the back screen, 5 will pop to recover spacing/get outside of the 3pt line. This is a deadly action if you have a 5 who can step out and shoot it. 2's reads: 1) score 2) Lob/pass to 4 rolling 3) 5 popping It goes without saying that if the weak side defense hugs in, then 2 would kickout to 1, or 3 holding the side ready to shoot. Favorite Send to FastDrawSeveral teams run this end-of-game SLOB. Really, 1-4 are interchangeable. For instance, I would put my best shooter in the 4 spot, ready to shoot on a kick out. My best slasher would be the 2, best screener the 5, and best inbounder the 3. See More
