Favorite Send to FastDraw2 on defense, 2 on offense. The defenders are in the corner and wing on one half f the court, and the offense on the other. The first defender passes to the second defender and begins to closeout diagonally. The second defender skips the ball and then closesout to the gap. Live play begins on the offense catch. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawFlex is a very common action in all levels, high school to NBA. At the highest levels, if a team wants optimal posting position off a flex screen, they must disguise that a flex screen is coming by running false movement early in the set. Jeff Hornacek did this with the Suns, mixing it in with his pitch offense. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawIf x4 does not jump to the ball or lets 4 cut across their face to the basket, 4 needs to take the cut that the defense is giving. 4 should always attempt to face cut to the basket as their first option. If 4 is not open on their basket cut because their defender is now on the ball side denying a return pass, 4 can break from their cut and set a down screen. By starting with a cut 4 is also able to improve their screening angle. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawOne of the best ways to develop individual skill is to play 1v1 against players that are going to challenge you. That being said, rolling the ball out and playing mindless 1v1 is not the best option to achieve one's desired outcome. What I will advocate for in this article is to play multiple variations of 1v1 games in order to grow one's skill and challenge oneself in a unique way. For a PDF of all the games and drills shown in this article (as well as a bonus drill), please click here. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawRead and React Circle Movement using the Dr. Dish. Anywhere from 4 players to your entire team can use this drill to simulate game like conditions and drill habits without the hassle and chaos of rebounding multiple balls. Great if you have limited space, time, or just want something different. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA great drill that simultaneously improves your team and individual players offensively and defensively is a series of 3 on 3 drills. Offensively, we work on dribble hand-offs, cuts, shooting, passing, catching, screens, and timing. Defensively, we work on communication and the different ways to defend screens. I also like this drill because it helps to reduce turnovers. See More
