Favorite Send to FastDrawSouth Dakota women's team is my favorite team to study right now in all of basketball. They run great stuff and they know how to play the game. Their ability to change speeds in the half court is what makes all their different actions in sets they run so hard to guard. Every cut and screen creates space to attack the rim. Here is one of their sets that has multiple actions. Check out the latest offers on FastDraw below the diagram! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Gaels have a series of BLOBs out of the box set. Several, including this play, finish with the ball screen and roll to the basket. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKentucky's John Calipari often opens a game or a half with a Horns quick hitter to get the Wildcats, and the Rupp Arena crowd, going. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawArizona ran this play with a "Spain Action - Ball-Screen/Back-Screen" to get an open post up inside. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawStephen F. Austin and coach Brad Underwood were very aware of who they were -- they had a great lead guard in Thomas Walkup. By putting the ball in his hands and making a 1-4 high set look like a clearout for him to go to his strong hand, defenses were sucked into reading the action for him. Instead of running a set to clear out on his side, Underwood ran lots of traffic through the lane, getting all four help defenders to stand in the lane at one point. When the chaos cleared, what was left was an empty weak side, a perfect opportunity for a lob at the rim. By using their best shooter as the screener, there was no opportunity for the play to be foiled. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawEffective set vs. a defense that is going to hard hedge/flat hedge on the middle ballscreen. Spain ran this a ton in the Euro Basket this summer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFred Hoiberg has run the pitch series for several years, both at Iowa State and now with the Chicago Bulls. Because teams will often sag off the trailer when he has the ball, it makes him the perfect candidate to throw a lob pass. The Bulls run the play to get Jimmy Butler an alley oop with all the extra attention he gets on the perimeter. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawA set that Brad Stevens has run since his days at Butler. A simple weave and then a flash to the elbow with a backscreen for a layup. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAgainst a team that fronts the post or plays heavy denial on any post ups, this is a great counter to get a backscreen for a layup from the Memphis Grizzlies. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawRick Carlisle runs very good action to get a guard to attack out of a dribble handoff with backscreen action to occupy the defense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawLooking to establish momentum early, the UCLA Bruins used this weave action into a backscreen lob against UAB on their opening possession. See More
