Basketball Play - Townsville Fire (WNBL) - Clear Back Cut

Townsville Fire (WNBL) - Clear Back Cut

Aaron Schuck 10/04/2021

This backdoor set comes from the Townsville Fire of the WNBL in Australia. A couple coaching points: 2 must time it well to begin walking defender up the arc to make sure she gets high enough so on the cut she is above the block. PG attacks right at 2 defenders to get her to react to the ball so 2 can back cut. PG passes as 2 starts the cut. Video clip below. See More

Basketball Play - Spain - Across BLOB

Spain - Across BLOB

Aaron Schuck 08/02/2021

This BLOB was ran by Spain's MNT during the Olympics. This is a good look to get a quick shot or for teams that switch screens you can get a post touch as they seal after they set a screen for the shooter. Basketball Play - Serbia WBB - Secondary Flare

Serbia WBB - Secondary Flare

Aaron Schuck 07/09/2021

Secondary action from Serbia. They reverse the ball and the trail will follow the pass and set a wing ball screen. As the wing dribbles off the ball screen, the 5 is setting the flare screen for the PG. With the spacing, 3 looks for 4 slipping to rim after setting the ball screen. If the help stays in the paint off 2, then 3 can skip to 2 of hit the cutter off the flare. Serbia is the #8 team in the women's FIBA World Rankings. *New customers use code SAVE10 for 10% OFF Draw/Scout* See More

Basketball Play - Serbia WBB - Reverse

Serbia WBB - Reverse

Aaron Schuck 07/09/2021

This set flows from Serbia's secondary action. The trail post screens down for the post who rim runs. As the ball gets reversed 5 is cutting off the screen from the 3 and looking for the pass right off the cut. Essentially this screen-the-screener action when ran with a faster pace. *NBA Finals promo code CHAMPION2021 for 21% OFF Draw/Scout* See More

Serbia WBB - 14 Slip

Aaron Schuck 07/09/2021

Serbia won the 2021 Eurobasket women's championship last month. They ran tons of good sets that they were able to play off of. This set highlights a shooter coming off a double screen. Before the screen takes place, there is plenty of early movement that leads to the scoring action. *NBA Finals promo code CHAMPION2021 for 21% OFF Draw/Scout* See More

Sweden WBB - Secondary

Sweden women's team has been playing well in this year's EuroBasket Women. Here is some secondary action they run giving them a quick look off a cut from a back screen that flows into a double stagger for a shooter. If they do not get an early shot, then they play off the double stagger. See More

Basketball Play - Russia WBB - 14 Back Screen

Russia WBB - 14 Back Screen

Aaron Schuck 05/19/2021

The Russian Women's National Team is ranked 12th in the FIBA world rankings. I think what makes them dangerous is how they play fast in the half court. They make quick decisions and react quickly based on what the defense is doing. Here is a 1-4 high set where they look to throw over the top to a cutter off a back screen or hit the second cutter for an open 3. *New customers use code SAVE10 for 10% OFF Draw/Scout* See More

Basketball Play - UConn Huskies WBB - Box Double BLOB

UConn Huskies WBB - Box Double BLOB

Aaron Schuck 04/02/2021

UConn has made another Final Four and they are playing well in all areas of the game. However, I think one key to winning it all is performing a little better in BLOB situations. They currently average .696 PPP in the tournament, which is 17th overall and 4th out of the Final Four teams. FastModel's biggest offer of the year for new subscribers!
