This is a great set because it gets the ball swinging from side to side, has action going both towards and away from the basket, as well as a ball screen. You can also adapt this play so that 2 and 4 play pick and pop after the ball screen or you can pop 1 out for a 3pt chance off a stagger screen from 4 and 5 after 4 ball screens 2. See More

They ran this deep stagger set to get the ball to #34 Ray Allen. Ray Allen does an outstanding job of getting his defender on his side or behind him, and burrying him deep. He runs off the stagger screen and scores off a wide open 12 footer. See More

Instead of the 4 & 5 setting a double screen for 1 or 3, #1 Chris Bosh set a back screen for the 4 man who dove right to the rim. #1 Bosh's man protects against the cut allowing #1 Bosh to pop for a wide open jumper. The effectiveness of this play lies in the screen the screener action that occurs between 2 and 3. 2 will always curl this screen looking to score, if 3's defender helps on 2, 1 should look to hit 3 in the short corner for a shot oppertunity. Miami Ball Screen Under
07/11/2013A very simple set that the Miami Heat ran to get two baskets against the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. By putting the 4 man in the corner they brought both defending bigs out of the paint. The 5 ball screens for the 1 who attacks to the 4's side. Kicking the ball to the 4 the 5 rolls hard to the rim. Most teams defend the rim with the low man away. Here that is the 3 man's defender. The 3 man goes to the baseline and slides to the ball side part of the floor and gets a short jumper outside the paint. The Heat ran this for #3 Dwayne Wade. See More
