Basketball Play - Florida Gator PNR

Florida Gator PNR

Dana Beszczynski 11/30/2012

Florida is perhaps one of the best PNR teams in America as Head Coach Billy Donovan has really used this to make his teams more dangerous both under the basket and on the perimeter. Florida does a good job spreading the floor and using their personnel to get people the ball in spots where they can score. The use of the double screen really makes it hard on defenses to recover in time, not leaving a man open as Murphy is a dangerous big man who can step out and shoot the 3. See More

Basketball Play - Michigan Double Ball Screen

Michigan Double Ball Screen

Dana Beszczynski 11/29/2012

The Michigan Wolverines used this play effectively in their match-up against the North Carolina State Wolfpack to free up Stauskas. Burke made this play possible with his strong dribble penetration coming off the double ball swing and perfect timing on the kick-out pass when the defender from Stauskas helped in the lane. This play was run by the College of Charleston early in their upset win over Baylor. It is designed as a single/double screen to free up their best shooter Andrew Lawrence for a three pointer. In this situation, Lawrence chose to use the single screen set by Baru. Lawrence popped to the corner and got a wide open look at a three pointer which he knocked down off the pass from Stitt. Basketball Play - Butler SLOB

Butler SLOB

Dana Beszczynski 11/20/2012

This is the SLOB ran last night by Brad Stevens and Butler down 70-67 against Marquette with .13 to play. The play used great misdirection in getting Clarke a clean look at a 3 which bounced off, but because of the great weak side rebounding position by Butler, they were able to tap in the rebound cutting the lead to 70-69. A very well designed set by from a timeout situation by the Butler Bulldogs and their great young Coach Brad Stevens. See More

Basketball Play - Maryland Terps SLOB vs M2M

Maryland Terps SLOB vs M2M

Dana Beszczynski 11/14/2012

This BLOB comes from the game between the Maryland Terrapins and Kentucky Wildcats. 5 & 4 move into a stagger screen position for 1. 1 breaks off his cut between 5 & 4 and re-fills to the top as a safety. As 1 is coming between 5 & 4, 2 begins his cut trying to run his defender into the defender from 1 and takes the stagger screens set by 5 & 4 to receive a pass in the corner for the three pointer. Easy to run and effective. See More
