Basketball Play - San Antonio Spurs "DHO Quick (Lob)"

San Antonio Spurs "DHO Quick (Lob)"

Gibson Pyper 04/26/2015

Gregg Popovich is one of the most creative coaches when it comes to creating sets to get his best players in the best positions to score. Here is a set that gets a quick lob for Kawhi Leanord, starting with a dribble handoff from Tony Parker to Duncan on the wing, 5 then sets a quick backscreen for Kawhi to catch the lob. I like this set because it allows Duncan to pull his man out of the paint & with 5 screening for Kawhi it removes any rim protection. See More

Basketball Play - Trail Blazer Horns Fake Stagger

Trail Blazer Horns Fake Stagger

Wes Kosel 04/26/2015

In this horns option, 1 dribbles right as 4 screens down for 2 in the corner. 1 and 5 move down as if they are setting a staggered screen from 3. If 1's defender jump towards the baseline to guard the screen, 1 cuts off of the single screen from 5. 2 looks to pass to 1 for a shot or to 3 at the basket. See More

Basketball Play - Wizards 1-4 High Double Cross

Wizards 1-4 High Double Cross

Wes Kosel 04/25/2015

This play starts with a dribble entry from Wall to the right wing. The dribbles pushes Beal up to replace Wall, then Beal cuts off of Nene at the high post. If the cut isn't open, the Wizards use right to left action with a ball-screen on the wing for Wall and a double screen set for Beal in the lane. Wall looks to score on the ball-screen, pass to Nene on the roll, or kick out to Beal on the wing for a shot. See More

Basketball Play - Wizards 1-4 High Double PTP

Wizards 1-4 High Double PTP

Wes Kosel 04/25/2015

In this 1-4 high play from the Wizards, they use multiple hand-off options around Gortat to look for quick shot. If neither hand-off option is there, Pierce and Wall set a screen for Nene at the elbow as he dives down to the low post. If Nene isn't open, Gortat kicks the ball out to Beal. Gortat then screens down for Wall who cuts to the top of the key for a shot. See More

Basketball Play - Motion Rub

Motion Rub

Kyle Gilreath 04/24/2015

Today's play comes from the 2005-2006 Florida Gators. This is an oldie but a goodie, I love rub cuts that lead to post-ups. What I like even more about this play is the hi-low at the end of the play that resulted in Joakim Noah having a direct drive to the rim. See More
