Florida State Seminoles - Horns Iverson Lob

Matt Wheeler 03/22/2019

Florida State ran this after timeout play to look for a lob dunk in the first half of their NCAA tournament game against Vermont. The play was designed for 3 to make an Iverson cut over 4 & 5 but he rejected the screen and still caught the ball on the wing. 4 cuts to the corner to take away a help defender on the lob as 2 sets the back screen for 5. #FastModelMadness NCAA Tournament: Viewing Guide by Style of Play See More

Basketball Play - Florida Gators - Flat Circle BLOB

Florida Gators - Flat Circle BLOB

Jordan Petersen 03/22/2019

Another BLOB from the Florida vs Nevada first round match up. Florida ran this BLOB after running their Flat STS Lob. This made it more difficult to defend because they both are out of the same formation and look similar. The 2 man does a great job of coming off low and tight of the 5 man screen two free himself up for a layup. #FastModelMadness NCAA Tournament: Viewing Guide by Style of Play See More

Basketball Play - Florida Gators - Flat STS Lob BLOB

Florida Gators - Flat STS Lob BLOB

Jordan Petersen 03/21/2019

Florida ran this BLOB in the first half of their game against Nevada. There are multiple options in this play with the first option of the 4 man cutting to the corner. The next option is the lob for the 5 man and this is difficult to defend because it is a guard screening for him. The last option is the 2 man slipping. #FastModelMadness NCAA Tournament: Viewing Guide by Style of Play See More

New Mexico State Aggies - 25 Pop BLOB

New Mexico State almost pulled off the comeback, as they trailed by 7, with a minute left in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. WIth the ball on the baseline, and under 2 seconds left, NMSU ran a fake lob, screen-the-screener action. It resulted in a wide open three, that did not drop. Basketball Play - Oklahoma City Thunder - Slide Action Special SLOB

Oklahoma City Thunder - Slide Action Special SLOB

Kostas Kalogeropoulos 03/10/2019

Coach Blly Donovan ran this special SLOB play late in game to find a corner 3pt shot. Starting with a stagger screen for 3 to get the ball at the top, then 2 clears to the opposite corner and 4 clears out respectively. 5 relocates to low post area and 1 sprints towards 3, in order to fake a ball screen. 1 slips and pops (slide action) to the gap at the wing area, forcing x2 to rotate, leaving 2 player open in the corner. 5 should block x5 from rotating to the corner. Basketball Play - Miami Heat - Line Slip Lob SLOB

Miami Heat - Line Slip Lob SLOB

Kostas Kalogeropoulos 03/10/2019

Special SLOB play that coach Erik Spoelstra ran as an ATO vs Golden State. Out of a line formation at the elbow, 3 curls around 4 and 5 (stack) and clears to weak side corner. At the same time, 2 curls around the stack and gets the ball at the top as 1 steps into wing area. 5 turns and sets a a fake screen for 3 to come off, then slips and cuts to basket to receive a lob pass from 2. Basketball Play - Tennessee State Tigers - Spread Rip Lob

Tennessee State Tigers - Spread Rip Lob

Matt Wheeler 02/26/2019

Tennessee State was down 2 late in the second half of their game against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and needed a basket to tie the game. They ran this wrinkle out of their spread offense to get a dunk off a lob pass. The play starts with the typical spread offense action of a dribble handoff, ball reversal and 4 cutting to the strong side corner. 1 diverts from his normal cut to the strongside elbow or block areas and sets a back screen for 5. The right side of the floor is cleared so 5 can be wide open for the lob pass from 2. Click for more Spread Offense content! See More
