Today’s basketball offense breakdown comes from the 2 Out 3 In Motion Offense. Iowa State used the concepts once used by Steve Alford when he was at New Mexico. The 2 Out 3 In motion offense is very unique, which allows the post area to become open for isolation plays and opens up dribble penetration and backdoor cut plays. Iowa State made this key adjustment in the first half against Nevada when they struggled to get much out of their ball screen sets.
Todays play comes from the Argentina U17 men who we played in our pre worlds campaign. Their shirt series allowed them to engage their top two players either through on ball play or out of post touches.
With lots of screening action, a tough set for defence to negate.
Let me know your thoguhts.
The Lumberjacks use this play as a quick hitter against 2-3 zone defenses. The ball is passed to the wing and once it is passed back to the top it triggers the wing runner and the posts to screen for the lob.
