A drive to the basket or a kickout for a 3 are the main options of this play. You need to have your best ballhandler on the 1 and the best shooter on the 2. Coming off the dribble handoff and attacking the basket forces the defender of 5 to help on the drive. Meanwhile 5 sets a backscreen for the shooter, who flares out to the corner. There is no defender left to cover this action. That leads directly to an open look from the 3 point line.
