About This Play/Drill

Keep the ball and players moving until the defense breaks down and there is an open shot or driving lane. Cut hard without the ball and maintain good spacing. Keep the ball moving and hit your teammates when they are open. This play is from the 2011-2012 Georgia Southern season.

  • 1. 2 cuts off of 4's down screen to the opposite wing, 1 dribbles over, 3 cuts off of 5's cross screen to the opposite wing.

    2. 1 passes to 2. 5 posts up.

    Option 1- 2 passes to 5 for a post up.

    3. 2 passes to 5.

  • 1. 1 makes a rim cut, if he does not receive the ball he cuts off of 4's screen to the opposite wing. 3 starts cutting to the ball side wing.

    Option 1 - 5 passes to 1 cutting to the rim.

    2. 2 makes a rim cut

    Option 2 - 5 passes to 2 for a lay up.

    3. 5 passes to 3, 3 reverses to 1, 2 cuts off of 4's baseline single screen to the corner.

    Option 3 - 1 passes to 2 for a three point shot.

     

  • 1. If 2 is not open, 5 comes up and sets 1 a ball screen, 4 cuts to the opposite wing, 3 slides down towards the baseline.

    Option 1 - 1 uses the ball screen to create his own shot.

    Option 2 - 1 hits 5 on the pick and roll.

    Option 3 - 1 hits 4 for a three point shot.

    Option 4 - 1 hits 3 for a three point shot.

    Option 5 - 1 hits 2 for a three point shot.
