  • Basket Cut (Give & Go)

X1 is on the ball with stance angle open towards the sideline checkpoint.

    1 passes to 3

Immediately X1 jumps to the ball!

X1 must force the rear cut

  • Basket Cut (Give & Go)

Do not allow the cutter to make an uncontested cut to the basket!

  • Cutter Goes Away

X1 is on the ball with stance angle open towards the sideline checkpoint.

X1 must assume the basket cut and jump to the ball.

Split the difference between ball and man and get on Helpside I

  • Cutter Goes Away

Do not follow/chase the cutter to the weakside!

  • Push Throughs

X1 is on the ball with stance angle open towards the sideline checkpoint (x).

When 1 dribbles at 3 and pushes him/her through:

Deny the backcut with a headsnap and sweep low then STOP on the Helpside I position

  • Push Throughs

Do not follow/chase the cutter out to the weakside!

  • Weakside Flash

X1 is on the ball and open to the baseline checkpoint

    X3 is on helpside

When 3 flashes, X3 must BUMP the cutter and force them high and deny reversal

  • Weakside Flash

X3 cannot let 3 cut behind them!

X3 must also prevent the easy "nail" catch and ball reversal
