Favorite Send to FastDrawNIce set by Leonard Hamilton to get your best shooter a shot. Florida State calls this "Four" and signals with four fingers up. The Seminoles are ranked #17 in the 2018-19 preseason AP poll. On the FMS blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawLove this set. If not the initial drive the reverse pivot throwback to 3pt or deep post feed is a very effective actiont that combats helpside principles throughout. More on the FMS blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs Click to view all plays by Coach Dave Nedbalek! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set with several back screens that require great defensive communication and cohesion or one of the lobs, or subsquent ball sreens will be wide open. Not ideal spacing but a unique set that is not cookie cutter defensively by any means. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a unique formation that puts the defense in a lot of positions to do wrong. The offset box makes for a long tag for the defender at the rim which should mean either a layup, corner 3, or slip to the rim will be open. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is not a very dynamic set but it is a very effective one. If you have a great shooter make him your inbounder and if the defense jumps to take away the corner three the fake handoff counter will be available. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a really great set especially if you have your best shooter inbounding it. The final ball screen will either force the inbounders man to tag the roller or leave the inbounder wide open for 3 on the shake action. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an attempt to scout an initial action that Marlyand will start their true motion with. They run a true free flowing motion offense which has very little consistent patterns, and consists of many off ball screens and various combinations of those. This is a great offense in terms of the inability to scout it, and the constant burden of communication it places on the defense. Favorite Send to FastDrawTom Izzo had the luxury of using Miles Bridges (3 in diagrams) almost anywhere on the floor during the 2017-18 season. The All-American swingman had the size to play inside, and the shot and agility to run off screens and shoot from deep. The Spartans are ranked #10 in the 2018-19 preseason AP poll. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set has a lot of tight moving pieces but ends up with a very hard to guard ball screen especially, if you have a dynamic guard like Marquette did in Rowsey last year. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is good action into a double drag ball screen which will involve the opposing 4/5 to be in position on a lot of action. This is a great set to run in combination with the Horns Dive Split set I posted from Marquette as well. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set for multiple looks. Obviously it is defended well but you can see the scoring opportunities very easily. My critique of this video is the pace with which Marquette runs it. I'd love to see 2 already sprinting as 3 pops for the catch. I also would like 4 and 5 to shape up after the screen as the switching left a mismatch somewhere. You could even have 4 and 5 cross screen to enhance this set. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Houston Rockets use an interesting lineup for this play. All five of the players in this set are in the 6'5-6-8" range, which allows for versatility when moving the ball around. This play may look complex from all of the movement, but in reality, the Rockets just follow the principles of moving the ball, and moving off-ball to where there is space. All five players are involved in some capacity, so it requires mental focus of the entire team. PJ Tucker (5) does a nice job passing into a screen, which allows Michael Carter-Williams to get around, draw 3 defenders, and find an open Gary Clark in the corner. This is also a good play to run if you wish to save a player's energy, because the 2 does not have to move much at all on this play outside of a pass in the beginning. See More
