Originally a set designed to get Tim Duncan an open jumper by setting a down screen and allowing him to catch at the elbow. This set has been adapted by this years Golden State Warriors, the 2013-14 Miami Heat & this years Philadelphia 76ers! This set is great if you have a stretch 4 or a 4 man who can handle and pass well, and a big man who can shoot it. The Heat ran a nice counter out of it for Ray Allen, after he set the down screen for Bosh, he would come off a baseline screen to look for a shot. See More

05/24/2015Here is a NBA Golden State Warriors Dribble Hand-Off / Pick and Roll Action from Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. Steve Kerr is doing an excellent job in getting great motion and action into his set plays for their players. The Golden State Warriors are the team that I want to watch in the NBA Play-offs for my new sets. Steve Kerry has installed a system that is like the NBA San Antonio Spurs in it's movement, flow and creativity. The starters and reserves have bought into this system all season. David Lee is even getting a second chance in these NBA Playoffs. He is seizing the moment too. Stephy Curry and Klay Thompson are indeed the Splash Brothers and either of them can go off for 20 points in a quarter at any moment. Curry is the MVP, but Thompson is likely to go off on any night. They were one of the best teams ever in the regular season, despite the trip up from the always difficult Memphis Grizzlies. I love this action and you will notice that I chose a play where Steph Curry isn't in the game. It's an example of how their reserves have bought in. 05/18/2015In this play, 5 and 4 start at the elbows and screen down for 3 and 2. 1 dribbles to the right wing then passes to 2. Once 2 has the ball, he swings the ball to 3 as 1 cuts across the lane off of a staggered ball-screen from 5 and 4. Once 1 has the ball, 4 screens for 2 and 5 screens for 4. Memphis Grizzlies "Blind Pig"
05/14/2015Struggling to score against Golden State in Game 5, Dave Joerger called a timeout and setup a nice "Blind Pig" set to get an easy score. Knowing that Golden State was playing aggressive and overhelping on any screen that a guard cut off of, he had Gasol flash to the high post after Conley exited the screen and received the ball. After he caught the ball, Conley cut backdoor with his man on the high side, and Gasol hit him with a nice backdoor pass for a floater. See More
