Basketball Play - Hand Off Single/Double

Hand Off Single/Double

Basketball HQ 08/28/2012

This set was run by the Chicago Bulls in the 2006-2007 season. This set works best if your point guard can shoot the ball. The play is designed to get your wing in an isolation postion off of the hand off from 4, and if he can't create his own shot, he has the point guard coming off a double screen for a three point shot, or his shooting guard coming off of a single screen for a midrange or three point shot depending on how the defense is playing. Today's Set Play from Men's Basketball Hoopscoop is a National Champion "University of Kentucky" Dribble Handoff Set play. This set play is a great mis-direction set for Dribble Drive Motion Offense. It's a great play even if you don't run Dribble Motion Offense. See More

3FTC Team Loose Ball Training

Greg White 08/27/2012

Every Coach will tell you the importance of winning 50/50 balls. Most of us spend some time on rebounding technique but when it comes to loose balls we just expect our players to just "want it more than they do." While effort is a major part, this drill allows you to teach how to get more of those balls. See More

Basketball Play - 3FTC Pick and Pick Offense

3FTC Pick and Pick Offense

Greg White 08/27/2012

I started thinking about this offense this summer and really like the options and flow it has. I have run dribble drive in the past. Our program currently uses the Read & React so I took the spacing, Layer 1 and added some ball screen options and a little confusion for the defense. The offense gives you the spacing to attack the basket, while incorporating ball screens that force your opponents to find the best way to defend the ball screen. I've attached a breakdown drill we will use and will post more later. If this offense is something you think might help your team, please contact me at coachwhite@3fromthecorner.com See More
