About This Play/Drill

Here's a good screen-the-screener set to free up your best post player on the block as well as have your best shooter coming off a downscreen.

  • 2 and 5 stagger for 3 to wing. PG brings to side on the bounce. 4 relocates to nail.

  • 2 turns back and sets a lateral for 5 to strongside block.

  • 2 then comes off downscreen set by 4 at the nail. PG looks to hit 5 in post or 2 off downscreen.

  • Another wrinkle you can do out of it is to still have 2 set the crosscreen for 5.

  • Then have 2 come back off 5 to the strongside corner.

  • Another way to free up 2 for a shot but also if the defense is showing hard on downscreens to free up 5 over the top for a layup.
