The Toronto Raptors have revitalized their offense in the 2017-18 season, but not without keeping some old favourite set plays from previous seasons. This play is a repurposed crunch-time special, as it use to be a staple of close games in the 4th quarter more than 5 years ago. Over the years, this set's usage has ebbed and flowed. This year, the Raptors are using it outside of a late-game setting and are introducing it into their After Timeout specials.
- A high ball screen is run with the 1 and the 4 in the middle of the floor towards the side of the intended first option. As this is happening, 5 cuts from one low block to the next and carves out good post position to receieve an entry pass from 1.
- 2 and 5 engage in a quick DHO with 2 curling towards the rim.
- Counter: If 2 is denied usage of the DHO or 5 is pushed off the block on the catch, 2 will set a backscreen for 1 and 5 will engage in a Grenade DHO with 1.
