Favorite Send to FastDrawLet the shooter decide whether to attack off the hand off or the re-screen. Read the defender and to get a shot but don’t over force the shot. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke Season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA handoff followed by a ball screen is basically a double ball screen but it helps to get the player the ball even if they are being denied. Come off the ball screen and look to make a play for your yourself or a teammate. On the handoff dribble right at the wings defender and try to screen him as you hand the ball off. Wing needs to take a good angle to come off the handoff and ball screen, look to turn the corner on the ball screen if you can. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA look in transition when you can set up your break spots usually out of a free throw. In this play, the 3 comes off a stagger and gets a dho. The 1 man has to do a good job of setting a rub screen on 3's defender. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBeing a good scorer depends so much on reading the defense and being able to score within the offense. This play makes the defender decide whether he is going to chase over top of the screen or go under. If he goes under you stop and shoot the 3 if he chases over sweep and drive to the basket. Read the defender to see if he goes under or over on the screen. The other wing needs to clear out of there and space for a shot. This play is from the Duke 2005-2006 season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAn easy way to get a post touch off the top of the key. Works really well if you have a tougher guard that doesn't mind screening bigs. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFor a catch and shoot player it is all about catching the ball in enough space to get his shot off. This play is good because it gives the shooter the option to come off the down screen or baseline screen. Giving the shooter options makes it a lot harder on the defender as well. Shooter needs to set his man up and not be predictable on his cut. Don’t let the defender dictate which screen you go off. Big men must head hunt and help the shooter get open by setting a good screen. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAn interesting way to get into Americas Play with the 1 man slipping the down screen in the corner into the cross screen. Could be really tough to guard if timed right. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawAn action that VCU used a lot in their NCAA run. In this action the play starts with a zipper action and a downscreen to get the ball reversed. The end of the play is tough to guard with a backscreen into a ballscreen (roll & replace). See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOut of the double stack you can run a lot of different plays so it helps to keep the defense honest. It is up to the shooter to determine what side is best for him to come out on for the shot. The shooter can also drive an over close out or shot fake and pull up. Set good screens and read the defense. If the big helps too much on the screen look inside at the post. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawScreeners need to head hunt and hit the shooters defender with a good screen. If the shooters defender goes over the screen the shooter should fade to the corner and if the defender chases on the screen the shooter should curl or straight cut. This inbound’s play is good because it gets right into an offensive set. Every inbound play should be a chance to score or directly into an offensive set. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. Favorite Send to FastDrawShooter needs to set his man up and not be predictable on his cut. Come off the screen ready to shoot if you are open. Don’t make the shooter wait on the ball. If you can get the ball to your best player where the defender is at a disadvantage then you have done your job as a coach. On this play the defender is late to the ball because he had trouble with the double screen that let the shooter drive the ball past him to the basket. Create situations for your players to have an advantage over the defense. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawCut hard and read the defense. Have your best passer inbound the basketball and don’t stare down the receiver. Even if you don’t get the basketball make sure that you cut hard and draw the defense. Inbound plays don’t have to be super complicated just cut hard and be ready to shoot if you are open. Don’t just look to get the ball in. Try to get a good shot off of the inbound play or get right into your offensive set. This play is from the 2005-2006 Duke season. See More
