Favorite Send to FastDraw"Even - High" is one of the BLOBs in the Odd, Even, Zero series. This set ends in an elevator screen for a three point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIn the 2017 NCAA Tournament, Middle Tennessee State ran my favorite BLOB play. The "Circle Action" begins with a DHO, followed by a Cross Screen, and ending with a screen-the-screener down screen. This set scored twice in Middle Tennessee State's first round win. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas State ran this misdirection BLOB in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. On the catch, the 5 dribbles towards the weak side Flare Screen, while the 2 "rips" off of a baseline screen. This BLOB resulted in a wide open three pointer. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is my favorite BLOB of the 2017 NBA season. It begins with a double stagger, to get a catch. After the catch, the Clippers throw to 5, to initiate a "Pistol" action. The 5 does a dribble hand-off, followed by a down screen, and run to the rim. The 1 can turn the corner, throw back to the shooter behind the drive, or look for the 5 on the lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis BLOB has resulted in multiple big shots for the Cleveland Cavs. They ran it for a Kyrie Irving three pointer, in the 2016 NBA Playoffs against Detroit. They also ran it, as an ATO, in the 2017 NBA Playoffs for a game clinching lay-up. The stack formation makes it especially difficult to guard, as the defense can not pre-switch any of the actions. Favorite Send to FastDrawSLOB action by the San Antonio Spurs to create the single-side tag. 4 has option of attacking to the basket, passing to 5 rolling to the basket or kickout to 1 lifting behind 5's roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Spurs ran this ATO at the end of the first half, of a pivotal Game 5, in the 2017 NBA Playoffs. The play resulted in an easy layup for Kawhi Leonard. It was a great design by Popovich. The counter to their elevator set is colored by the BLUE lines. It was a back screen by the 5, which got Kawhi the easy two points. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Toronto Raptors ran this corner OOB play to get their best player a look off of a pindown screen. All 4 players start spread out near halfcourt then cut to the basket. 5 gets a screen from 1 to receive the entry pass. On the catch, 2 sets a pindown screen for 3. 5 then passes to the 3 for a shot. The Raptors weren't able to get a shot from 3 but this play forced a double team and they were able to get an open look for 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"1-Up Pop" is a counter play, off of the basic "1-Up" action. The weak side is cleared out, and the point guard is reading a back screen. The hope is that the lob will be available. If not, the back screener will out cut, and could have a shot. If the defense switches, then there is a high/low look. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith the LA Clippers trailing 88-83 with 1:14 in the 4th quarter, they ran this ATO/EOG SLOB "Decoy Hammer" action against the Utah Jazz in Game 5. 2 (JJ Redick) sets a flare screen for 3 (Austin Rivers). This is decoy action as the defense has to make a decision whether to switch or not. In this case, the Jazz decide not to switch and this slight indecisveness (they switched on the 1/3 fake ball-screen action which might have caused some confusion) gave Redick space to run into a shot off of the comeback screen for 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawEarly offense from the Utah Jazz. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Grizzlies ran a great ATO out of a sideline out bounds play with two options that led to a Marc Gasol three. The first option is a lob for the guard coming off a back screen and the second is the screener receiving a screen to get them open for a three. See More
