In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of the horns alignment. The horns ball screen, rolling and popping, creates great 4 around 1 spacing for the high/low. I like the flow of the play after the high/low look, using the DHO to set up action on both sides. I would bet that at least one of the sides isn't defended properly after the high/low action. In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play series out of a horns alignment. The dribble push enters the set. The first two options are slipping the gate screen, and turning the corner on the dribble push for a clear out. The next option is using the gate screen, which goes into a pin or flare option, similar to a blocker/mover action. Video below. This is a set play out of a horns alignment we use with multiple options. First, we use the alignment to let a playmaker attack and read the defense with the horns ball screen, roll/pop action. We want to play off the ball handler, and if we can't create a shot off the initial attack, look to play 4 around 1 with our big to get it inside. In this video we look at using a horns alignment to execute a play with multiple options to create a shot. Players can use the ball screen to score, hit a shooter coming off a pin down on the back side, or hit the roll man, although that didn’t happen in this film.
