Favorite Send to FastDrawAs tweeted by Kyle Gilreath, the Heat have been running an elbow clinic. His elbow diagrams are excellent and this is another option to add to your playbook. The Heat ran this in their 30 point 3rd quarter. Haslem stepped up big in game 5 scoring 16 points on 8-9 shooting. He hit shots from the short corner, got a catch and rip for a dunk and because the defense had to respect his jump shot is involved in the drive and kick game . See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPlay shown by Jeff Van Gundy. He got this from Scott Skiles who ran it with the Bulls with Ben Gordan as the 2. Instead of going 1-4 low at the end of quarters the down screen would start at 7 seconds. Depending on the coverage 2 can pull up for a jump shot or drive for a finish at the rim. 2 can drive and kick to 1. 4 and 5 can roll and replace. 5 can pop and 2 can use the throwback pass. 2 can also pass to 4 if 4's defender helps on the drive. Favorite Send to FastDraw1 receives staggered flare screens from 2 and 4. First option is skip pass to 1 for open three pointer. Second option is to reverse to 2 and on ball screen by 4. 2 can penetrate and pitch to 1 on left wing. Also, 1 can clear to right corner, leaving the left side open for two-man game between 2 and 4. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the play the Miami Heat ran last night to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Indiana Pacers. The sports world and social media are a buzz about this play mostly because of Hibbert sitting out and George over playing. But let's give credit to Eric Spoelstra. He ran this same exact play at the end of the 4th quarter to get Ray Allen a game winning 3-pointer that came up short. With Hibbert out of the game this play really spread out the floor to open up the driving lane for Lebron to make the game winning lay-up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Pacers ran this set midway through the 4th quarter in their game 5 loss to the Knicks. Hibbert sets a great screen to free West up for the open 17 ft. jump shot. If you have a big who can knock that shot down this is a good set. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a two option play for a shooter and a posting 3. Starts in triple stack and dribble out to right wing by 1. Ball reversal to 5 signals a 4-2 flare screen. On the catch by 2, if no shot or bounce possible, 4 screens across for 3 to catch and score or post up and score. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDown 2 with .7 left the Celtics ran this lob to tie it up vs. the Heat in a 2009 game. Coach Rivers got this play from an AAU game. This play is all about reading the screening action. If 1's defender goes under the screen, 1 would bump off the screen for a jump shot. If 1's defender tries to trail the screen or play on the outside and deny the catch then the curl for the lob is open. If 1's defender fights through the screen but does not deny 1, 1 can still catch and shoot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOlympiacos ran this set with less than two minutes left in the first half of their Euroleague semi final win over CSKA. It is a relatively simple play, with the guards looping to set up a side ball screen, but the corner drift and flare from 4 to 1 kept the weak side defense occupied to free up the roll man. 2 could have passed to 3 in the corner, 1 coming off the flare, 4 slipping a screen, 4 stepping out after setting the screen, or 5 could have popped after setting the screen. Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a dribble hand off action that develops into a down screen and flare screen action. This quick hitter can be very hard to guard, especially the 5 to 2 hand off because of the big to little match up. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play can yield a lay up or post up by 3 or a three point shot by 4. Starts with a double flare for 1 who catches on the left wing. On the catch, 4 screens for 3 diving to the basket. If 4's defender helps a little on 3's cut, 4 steps out behind the line to shoot a three. False action between 2 and 5 on the right wing will occupy the weak side defenders. Give it a try! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is an action ran by FC Barcelona Regal during the playoff series with Panathianikos. It's designed to get a good shooter open, then sets up a spread pick and roll action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawOpening play of the second half for the Warriors in their close out game six win. There are four screens in this set-two down screens, a ball screen, and a flare screen. Bogut set a great screen and Curry delivered an on time and on target pass for this open three point shot See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSatuday night during Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs, Tom Thibodeau drew up this End of Quarter play to give his Chicago Bulls squad momentum going into halftime versus the Brooklyn Nets. With Belinelli having such an explosive defense, Boozer's man overhelped on the 2nd screen. This gave Boozer a free lane straight to the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHouston ran this sideline out of bounds play for a layup with 1.9 seconds left in the second quarter of their 105-102 game 2 loss to the Thunder 4/24/13. This play involves a flare screen, then a stagger. The play worked beautifully and if you save this for a special situation could win you a game. Timing is crucial, as Delfino was on the move as Harden was recieving the flare screen. Also make sure 5 turns to rescreen for the stagger. See More
