Basketball Play - Golden State Warriors "Wing Twist Fence"

Golden State Warriors "Wing Twist Fence"

Gibson Pyper 06/01/2015

This is great action that flows directly out of their early offense and 21 series, with options for both Klay and Steph. The ball is pushed early with a pass just like 21, but instead the player receiving the first pass reverses the ball to the trailing big at the top of the key. After this Steph and Klay play off each other screening for one another and reading the defense. Whichever guard pops to the wing comes off a dribble hand off from the big, the other comes off double screen on opposite side. Kerr runs a couple of wrinkles out of this action, having Klay being a screener in the double screen and peeling off for a shot and another nice Elevator counter out of it. See More

Basketball Play - Spurs Wing Read Option

Spurs Wing Read Option

Kevin Bruinsma 07/03/2013

A quick hitter the Spurs ran for #4 Danny Green in the NBA Finals he takes his man down in Early Offense and can cut back door if available. If not he runs off the screen from 5 looking for a quick 3. If he can't shoot it, 5 turns right back around and they have a pick and roll in the middle of the floor. 4 rolls up. See More

Basketball Play - Up

Up

Keven Bradley 04/16/2013

This quick, early offense that you can run as a half-court set or within your secondary break. If your pg is a good athlete, you can take advantage of the lob to the rim. 5 needs to set a solid backscreen to make his defender help, which should make him late to help on the ball screen. 2 needs to be aggressive and look to attack X5 off the ball screen. If 2 can't get to the rim or have an open shot, penetrating and kicking to 1 in the corner is a likely possibility. See More

Basketball Play - "Horns" - Ball Screen Slip

"Horns" - Ball Screen Slip

Keven Bradley 12/01/2012

This is a set that is effective if you have one or two good interior post players. The initial High/Low action is good early offense that you may be able to take advantage of before you even get to the ballscreen-slip. Then you have the opportunity to hit your 5 man slipping to the rim or hitting your 4 man spacing on the perimeter. You will have opportunities for high percentage shots regardless of which movement you take advantage of. See More

Basketball Play - Golden State Warriors Floppy

Golden State Warriors Floppy

Adam Spinella 05/22/2017

A floppy action is common in the NBA and at many other levels. It's a great action for shooters who are given time to read screens and be a threat off simple down screens. Since the Warriors have so many shooters, their use of the Floppy action is particularly dangerous when Curry, Thompson and Durant are all swirling around each other -- and more dangerous in those instances where Curry or Thompson are screeners.
