Basketball Play - Golden State Warriors - Handback Elbow Flare

Golden State Warriors - Handback Elbow Flare

Matt Wheeler 01/09/2018

The Golden State Warriors ran this as the opening play of the fourth quarter in their Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The multiple quick actions caused the defense to get confused, getting 4 open for a shot. 4 faked the screen for 2 before coming off the flare screen. This caused x4 to provide help on the fake screen, allowing him to get screened by 2. By using a shooter in Klay Thompson (2) to set the screen, x2 wasn't able to leave his man and 4 got open at the three point line. See More

Basketball Play - Toronto Raptors - SLOB Slice Punch Stagger

Toronto Raptors - SLOB Slice Punch Stagger

Cooper Smither 12/26/2017

During Dwane Casey's tenure with the Toronto Raptors, the team has routinely run this Sideline out of Bounds play, but have also added depth to it over the years. Additionally, this set is pervasive throughout the entire NBA and is also utilized by teams such as the LA Lakers. While the first option is to post up the inbounder after using a slice cut on the weak side block, the second option quickly morphs into a series of staggered screens that can open up space for perimeter shooters and induce hard close outs. Basketball Play - Philadelphia 76ers - ATO "Ear Tug"

Philadelphia 76ers - ATO "Ear Tug"

Ryan Nguyen 12/18/2017

The Philadelphia 76ers like to run this "logo" ball screen action for Ben Simmons to prevent defenses from going under. If Simmons is open on the UCLA cut, they'll look to hit for a quick layup. If the layup is not available, 5 will set a flare screen for 2, creating a post split action to prevent defense from digging. See More

Basketball Play - Wisconsin Badgers - Horns Back Cut

Wisconsin Badgers - Horns Back Cut

Tony Miller 12/10/2017

This Horns quick hitter is effective when run against a defense that overplays the passing lanes. Especially after running another Horns set involving a 5/3 hand off, run this action to get a wide open layup. Watch the video below for a breakdown. Send to FastDraw using the button above. Basketball Play - Zipper Series

Zipper Series

Timothy Hipps 11/13/2017

Zipper Series Breakdown Zipper = a cut off a down screen up the free throw lane line. 3 sets that involve a Zipper action as the base and finish with a different aciton: America, Slice and Flex. Zipper Series plays are great for a players who have difficulty getting open, or a point guard who is a primary scorer. This plays also works well against teams who deny off the ball. As each set begins the same way, the defense does not know which action is coming after the Zipper, making it difficult to scout and guard. See More

Basketball Play - Detroit Pistons - Slice U

Detroit Pistons - Slice U

Jordan Petersen 11/13/2017

The Detroit Pistons ran this action against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It has a lot of different options out of it. 1 can receive a pass after the back screen. If 1 does not receive the pass then they go set the flex screen for 2. After setting the screen they receive a down screen from 4. 5 makes the read on who is open between 2 or 1. See More
