  • Force Middle Drive. Take away the 2nd option of the DDM offense by forcing 1 to dribble right at the 3.

Our Player guarding 5 denies the pass and shadows his player.

Our Player guarding 3 is on and up the line and will go with 3 if he backdoor cuts.

  • DENY, DON'T HELP

Here we are not going to allow the pass out to 2.

If 1 penetrates and gets past our defensive player.

    4 will stop the ball

    1 will trap with 4

3 will take drop to take the offensive player 4.

5 will turn and face the trap

  • After 4 stops the ball, 1 traps.

    2 denies any outlet pass.

    3 has the basket

5 turns and watches the pass out of the trap and goes after it

  • Cut the Head Off

We are going to guard straight up. 1 will drive to create help from our defender (2)

Once we know that 2 is in defensive position, 1 will move behind his man preparing to switch to guard 2

Our first option is to slide 2 over and up and draw a player control foul

If their 1 jumpstops, we have switched and cut the floor off
