The 1 initiates the play by dribbling at the 2 who cuts backdoor and receives a downscreen from the 5 and cuts to the top of the key, (If the 2 defender overplays, the 2 may counter by kicking out to the short corner or 3pt. line).
If the 2 does not have a shot, 4 sets a high ball screen. The 2 looks for the pull-up jumper, penetration to basket, or reads the 3 and 5 defenders to kick it out to 3 or dump off to 5. The 4 screens and makes a second cut to be the basket.
