About This Play/Drill

This is a set that allows floppy action. This was used by the Maryland Terrapins in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

  • Basketball Play - Maryland Terrapins - Diamond Floppy
  • Basketball Play - Maryland Terrapins - Diamond Floppy
  • Basketball Play - Maryland Terrapins - Diamond Floppy
  • Basketball Play - Maryland Terrapins - Diamond Floppy
  • Set up with in a diamond formation with the best shooter under the rim and a secondary shooter/attacker at the nail. The shooter chooses a screen to use and the other wing backs up and fills the opposite side. This is an alternative floppy action.

  • After making a pass to the open wing player, the point guard cuts through to under the rim, the opposite wing fills the top and catches.

  • From here, we're right back into conventional floppy action where the point guard can choose the single or double screen.

  • On the catch, the ballhandler can feed the post or call for a ballscreen.
