Lob Sets - Box Special - FastModel Sports

"Box Special" is a lob set, which we ran regularly at Mid Michigan Community College. If the lob is not available, the back screener out cuts. There is the potential for a shot, or a high/low pass. If X4 helps, then the point guard will be open on the baseline screen. The multiple options to this set made it a great set to run early in games.

5 sets a pin down for 2
2 pops to the wing
1 passes to 2

5 sets a UCLA screen for 1
1 UCLA cuts off of the screen
5 out cuts
2 passes to 5

4 down screens for 3
3 cuts to the slot
5 passes to 3

4 sets a baseline screen for 1
2 sets a back screen for 5
3 throws the lob to 5
*** If the defense switches, 2 out cuts, and there is a high/low look, to attack the mismatch.
