  • 1 receives outlet and brings it up the ALLEY via the dribble

     

    2 & 3 "deflate the defense" by sprinting up the RAIL to the deep corners

     

    4 runs the ALLEY opposite the ball to the "high wing"

     

    5 trails down the middle of MAIN STREET

  • This spacing keeps the middle of the floor open for 1 to attack and disorganize the defense

  • Terminology

    Corner = even with the side of the rim

    High Wing = even with top of circle

    Nail = Center of FT line

    Double Side = side with two players holding the sideline

    Single Side = side with one player in deep corner

     

    The Three Amigos = The three players outside of the ball screen. Their options are to:

    - screen

    - cut

    - space

    "Read the penetration, read the help"

    Holding the sideline = creating width by spacing with back to sideline

     

    Back Man = player behind the direction of the ball handler should they accept the screen

     

    Splitting the Defense = using the roll to suck in off-ball defenders

  • Reads

    Can I reject and get to rim?

    Can I accept (shown)?

    Can I score? If no, who stopped me? Get their man the ball.

    Roll open? Why not? Tag? Hit the back action

     

    Did my man help? Tag?

  • Slot Screen

    Can I reject and get to rim?
