For this play to work, your 2 has to be able to handle the ball off of a ball screen, and your 4 has to be a passing skilled big that can pick and pop. After 2 dribbles off of the ball screen and passes to 4 he has to be patient to let his defender fall asleep. Once his defender turns his head, the 2 cuts hard backdoor for a lay up. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season.
1. 1 passes to 2.
2. 2 dribbles off of 4's balls screen to the wing. 4 pops.
3. 2 passes to 4, 2 cuts backdoor.
Option 1 - 4 passes to 2 for a lay up.
