About This Play/Drill

Quin Snyder and the Utah Jazz run this great pitch into a ball screen, where the man defending the screen-setter has a difficult time providing a hedge. The guard who gives the pitch cuts straight off a down screen, which -- if hedged by the defense -- puts them in terrible position to defend the ball screen.

  • 2 comes off a nail-hole angle screen to the wing and gets the entry from 1

  • 2 then dribbles once towards the middle and hands off back to 1

  • 2 clears to the wing as 1 comes off the ball screen from 5. 5 will roll and 4 raises
