Coach Weir played college basketball at the D1, D2 and Juco levels before beginning his coaching career. He is currently heading into his 12th year of coaching. Coach Weir has been a high school varsity assistant for the last nine years and helped coach multiple playoff teams, multiple 20 win season teams, all state players, all district players, players that have gone on to play D1, NAIA and Juco players. This is a very well executed BLOB by the Spanish Men's National Team. A 1-5 spread PNR, between Ricky Rubio and Willy Hernangomez, where Spain executes the "Spain " action leading to an open look. The designed back screen or "Spain " action is set by a shooter and forces the defense to make some tough decisions.

This set involves mutliple actions that will really force the defense to be locked in. This can be run for a dominant post player to get an iso look inside, a counter to get a three off that post player, or as an ATO with multiple options.
Gardner-Webb uses multiple actions including a pistol formation, DHO weave, and a ball screen slip aciton to move the defense and get its best post player a look inside 1v1.
