2v1 Drill Description - Adding a decision making component that holds player's 1 & 2 accountable to make a quick decision playing a 2-man game with player 1 attacking downhill from the slot. - x2 will give the read to player 2. - x2 starts in a defensive stance. As player 1 attacks downhill, x2 will either laterally push up the line or down the line. Frame 1 Decision-Making Read - As player 1 attacks downhill, if x2 goes up the line (blue), player 2 will set up a back cut (red) baseline. Player 1 will make a lead pass (green) to player 2 for the finish. Frame 2 Decision-Making Read - If x2 goes down the line (blue), player 2 will lift to the wing (red). - Player 1 will make a pitch pass (chest pass keeping shoulders downhill) to player 2 for the catch & shoot. 1v1 Ending Drill Description - After either read made in the 2v1 portion of the drill, player 1 will space out to the corner after delivering the pass to player 2 (Player 2 rebounds their finish or shot). - Once player 1 spaces out to the corner, x2 will guard player 1 and the coach (C) will have a ball at the elbow. - Player 1 and x2 will play 1v1 off the dribble hand off action. - As the coach dribbles towards player's 1 and x2, the coach will call out a command for x2 that adds a decision-making component for both players. Commands - As the coach starts get into the dribble hand off with player 1 lifting up, the coach will call out a color or number. - If a COLOR is called out, x2 is to guard the DHO by going under. - If a NUMBER is called out, x2 fights over the top of the DHO. Reads - As either command from the coach gives x2 a sense of urgency to guard the action 2 different ways, it also forces player 1 to make a quick decision based off how x2 has to guard the action. Drill Description - Player's 1 & 2 start at the top of the key. - Coach (C) starts with the ball next to jump circle. - The coach will yell out "ball" to initiate the drill. - When the coach calls out the command, player 1 will sprint to the jump circle to receive the basketball and player 2 will sprint to touch the baseline and sprint back to recover. - Once player 1 receives the basketball, the coach starts to countdown the amount of time player 1 has to create a shot. - The player has 7 seconds to make a quick decision and create a shot. - Score the player stays on offense. If player 2 gets a defensive stop, they switch to offense. - Play to a certain amount of points determined by the coach. See More

Drill Description - Coach starts with the ball. Player 1 starts in the slot and player 2 starts on the elbow. - Player 1 will shift away towards the wing (blue). - Player 2 must stay on the elbow ready to closeout once the coach passes the ball to player 1 (red). - Once the coach starts to pass the ball to player 1, player 2 can closeout (green) and play is live. Scoring - Compete first player to 3pts. - If you score you stay on offense. Defense goes to offense on a stop. - Start with a 3 dribble maximum. Every time a player scores, they lose a dribble. Ex.
